                             How it Affects People

The coronavirus has been affecting

society as a whole ever since it be-

gan spreading through China. At

first it was toilet paper, hand

sanitizer, and hand soap that went

out of stock across multiple

countries. Later on, things like flour,

yeast, sugar, thread, and even

needles have also either been low

in stock or simply out of stock. It

has been reported that some

people are even hoarding these

items, making it difficult to others,

like the elderly, to buy them. Thank-

fully, companies are beginning to

catch up with the increase in

demand for these items.

The low stock of items isn't the

only thing that is affecting people.

One large and extremely important

part is the health care system. Due

to the large influx of patients that

are being itted to hospitals,

the health care system is being

overworked. Many hospitals are

filled with patients who have been

infected with the virus. Leaving

little to no room for new patients

who may need to be itted.

This virus also affects the health-

care workers. Some small

hospitals are having to lay off

workers due to the hospital not

having enough money to pay them.

Hospital workers also have to deal

with the constant fear that they

will get sick and bring the virus

back to their loved to ones. While

it is a constant fear for everyone,

it is worse for healthcare workers

because they are on the front lines

and are more likely to get exposed.

Of course there are many more

ways that the virus is affecting

people. Things like people not

being able to work which means

they cannot pay rent, and small

businesses are having to close

down due to the extreme reduction

of customers (due to the stay-at-

home orders). Although things

seem to be pretty grim, especially

with the constant increase in cases,

there are some positives. People

are now able to spend more time

with family and pets. In addition

they can work on hobbies that

they may not have had time to

develop. This may be the reason

items like yeast are out of stock.

Plus, this gives people the needed

break from stress and pressure

that they may have been wanting.

Reminder: stay healthy,

wash your hands, and

to social

distance! We can get

through this together!!

                       How to Prevent Spreading

Preventing the Caronavirus is

was Impossible, because we do

not have a vaccine yet. Although,

preventing the spread of it is what

our focus should be. Majorly, we

focus on how you should be at

home, quarantined. Then, when you

are out and about, keep yourself

6 feet apart from people. This is

because a sneeze can reach 6 feet.

You should also wash your hands

often, as the virus is weak and

can often be prevented through

simply washing your hands. Make

sure you cover your cough, in case

you have caught the virus. The

incubation time of 2 weeks is a long

period of time that you could be

spreading the virus. And lastly, if you

show signs of ant symptoms CALL

before you go in, and make sure you

get the adequate help for you. Please,

please stay safe and follow these.

                                  It's War with China

China has been taking strict measures

to slow down the rate of covid-19 AKA

the Coronavirus. They started groups

of people who wore masks to deliver

vegetables from house to house, so

that people could stay in their homes.

Some of the measures that allowed

everything to start settling down

include, building hospitals in only a

few days, rapid testing protocols,

and technology that attempted to

collect data on all 80,000+ virus cases.

With all the measures that China has

began to take, the rate of people

getting Corona has begun to decrease.

Dr. Bruce Alyward states that the rest

of the world is not ready to take the

extreme measures that they have

taken, because the measures will have

a huge impact on the economy itself.

China had built multiple hospitals and

worked on them overnight without

stopping. They even began to cancel

doctor appointments and make them

online. This caused people to not be

able to get the proper treatment they

                                            needed.

China began to wall off hospitals that

contained people who were sick with

the corona from the other world. All

of the citizens of China have started

doing their part too. They began to

shift their jobs so that they could

assist the outbreaks and have been

honest about if they had symptoms

or not. Those who were not truthful

were then punished for doing so.

            Quarantine Boredom Remedies

Video Games! Video games are

deeply immersive and will have you

spending hours on end completing

goals and running around instead

of heading out and putting yourself

                                           at risk.

Shop online! Shopping online is a

great way to get some new things

        but still remain safe indoors.

Take up a new hobby! Personally,

I’ve started gardening in my spare

time at home and I don’t plan to

stop there. There’s a bunch of

activities like painting, working on

meditating, scrapbooking, drawing,

needlework, and so many more.

Binge a new show! New and old TV

shows are a plenty on the internet,

pick one up and begin a new

obsession. With services like Netflix

and Disney+ out there, the amount

of shows one can binge is near

.                                   endless.

Do some deep cleaning in your

house/room. that box

of papers you have from third grade

you swore you needed one day?

You don’t. Toss it and make some

space for new things! Declutter,

donate and then pat yourself on the

back for your newly cleaned and

                           refreshed space.
