Brush Pen Comparison 🤔

This blog post aims to compare several brush pens for caligraphy. Some are popular (hey, tombows) and some are lesser known.

Note: To conduct this comparison, I'll be testing these pens in a 100gsm notebook as a standard for comparison. (About the same thickness as printer paper!)

Tombow Dual Brush Pens

First off, let's look into the much loved Tombow Dual Brush Pens :) They are probably the pens you are most familiar with.

Zebra Brush Pens in Super Fine, Fine, and Medium

Zebra pens are a super affordable brush pen that come in a variety of sizes.

Faber-Castell Neon Brush Pen

Faber-Castell is well-known for high-quality supplies.

Lyra Aqua Brush Duo

These guys are remarkably similar to the Tombow Dual Brush Pens. I even prefer them.

Color Lustre Brush Tip Metallic Markers

I love these so much! My picture does not do the metallic sheen justice.

Xeno Brush Pen

These pens are very beautiful, but intense. You can see the tip through the pen cap, which I like.

Karetake Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pen

This pen has the end of a real brush, so it is quite difficult to control. If you like painting, you might like this pen.
