i started pulling all nighters back in 8th grade

i didn't have any choice. i was too pressured

to do good because i am the oldest. i pulled

all nighters for the last exams of 8th grade. i

didn't feel anything so i continued it in 9th

grade. 9th grade, however, was way more

hectic. projects, reportings, quizzes, and act

ivities were all thrown at us simultaneously.

we barely had time to rest.

even during recess or lunch, lesser students

go out of our classroom for a meal, just to

complete all the work we had to do. i stayed

up to 2-3 am to study and woke up at 4 to

study again (i originally wake up at 5 to get

ready for school). i didn't get proper sleep

throughout 9th grade. i started staying up for

     quizzes on the next day.

i didn't really feel anything bad happening on

my health, probably because i was too busy.

i forgot to take care of myself, and i didn't notice

that it started taking a toll on both my physical

     and mental health.

i once pulled an all nighter for my maths test

and accidentally fell asleep whilst taking the

test. i woke up 5-10 minutes before the test

was to be ed to our teacher. i couldn't

even the formula. i just stared at

my paper until time was over

for my physical health, i was dizzy almost

everyday. my stamina wasn't the best, and

i've had times when i was having a hard ti

me breathing. my palms and lips were pale

that even my friends noticed. my eyesight

got worse that it was blurry even when i am

    wearing my glasses.

for mental health, i was very unstable. i felt

empty the whole year. i was blank all the ti

me i don't even notice my friends calling out

my name. my anxiety got worse, i even found

myself sleeping in class. i also became so

forgetful that it started to worry me.

my overall thoughts are: you shouldn't start

pulling an all nighter. as time es by you'

ll find yourself relying on an all nighter. and

if you are already doing it, lessen the days

of pulling an all nighter, if you can't remove

       the habit completely.

afterall, your health is your first priority.

what's the use of achieving all those awards

when your health is slowly deteriorating?

that there are ways to avoid

pulling an all nighter. and an all nighter

isn't always the best solution (from my

        experience).

personally, i don't think i'll be using the

method anymore the next school year

       because of obvious reasons.

i hoped my experience helped you on

knowing the possible effects of pulling

an all nighter. i hope that many of you

choose to refrain from using the method.

n e ways, continue to smile and ace the

school year ! bai bai peeps!

I have also experienced the same thing. It started when I was in 7th grade I was a math quizzer that time and have reviews that i always arrive home around 7pm and it continued until i was in   8th grade tho i am no longer a quizzer in 9th grade it's still so stressful and also family problems i always cry and spaced out. Now im in 10th grade and im slowly recovering because i've realized it's not healthy and my math teacher inspired me when he said "Aanhin mo ang iyong matataas na marka kung hindi mo rin naman yan madadala sa langit." I hope you're now okay :))))

Uh...I understand you so much, my math teacher at the end of my year (couple years ago) end up hitting my table frequently so I didn't fall asleep in class...I was so exhausted back then and with so much anxiety...

Love :revolving_hearts: and hope that won't happend to us again!
