Another #WaffleWednesday & all I can do to celebrate is reminisce over these Golden Chocolate waffles & share the recipe with you guys, of course! :kissing_heart: These guys were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, & had the loveliest unique flavor! If you're a fan of turmeric, you'll probably like these! :sparkles:
INGREDIENTS>>
- 1 c. Rolled Oats
- 1 large ripe Banana
- 1 c. Vegan Milk (I used unsweetened Almond)
- 1 tsp. Turmeric
- 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
- Liberal dash of Cinnamon & Nutmeg
- 2-3 pitted Dates (optional, for extra sweetness)
- 1 TBS Cocoa Powder
METHOD>>
- Combine all the ingredients in a blender except for the cocoa powder. Blend until smooth.
- Heat up your waffle iron & spray with nonstick spray. Pour some of the waffle mixture into the iron until it is about 3/4 of the way full. Close, & let cook according to your waffle irons instructions.
- In the meantime, add the cocoa powder to your remaining waffle batter & blend. Once the first waffles is done cooking, repeat with your remaining batter until all of it is cooked. Mine made 3 waffles total, but I do have a fairly large iron.
- Top with fruits, nut butters, syrups, etc!
