A couple years ago I had some serious burnout and I basically failed every class I ever took. There were many problems to deal with during that time and they all took a toll on my mental health. Then seeing my grades kinda made things worse lol. Here are some things I did to recover.
♡

Don't become attached to your grades.
Never view your grades as permanent. The biggest mistake was letting myself become overconfident. Anything can happen and grades can change by the next quiz. So make sure to always study even if you know the material already.
♡

Take a break.
Please take a break when you need it. I was always filling up my time slots and that caused me to overwork myself. Afterwards, I took a year long break to revaluate my life. I changed my major and decided to follow my dreams. Woooooo! Best decision ever.
♡

Save time for hobbies.
Try doing a hobby while you're taking a break. I started hiking. The sight of nature has this calming effect and I believe immersing yourself in it can really cleanse your mind. Honestly start a hobby that relieves stress. Paint! Sing! Cook! Talk to your doggo!
♡

Take up bullet journaling.
Bullet journalling satisfied my need for order. Ever since I started using a bullet journal the quality of my life and grades has improved.
♡

Sleep.
I try my best to get 6-8 hours of sleep. Lack of sleep impaired my immune system and memory. When I didn't sleep I had terrible memory recall during exams and I had a few visits to the hospital haha.... Please sleep. You'll waste more time if you don't. (Also you get dark circles under your eyes, but I think those look romantic so I don't mind. However some people do.)
♡

Eat and drink.
Stress caused me to eat less. Some days I didn't even eat. Within a few months I dropped to almost 75lbs. This affected my health hella bad and I was prone to infections. So eat, eat, eat! Drink, drink, drink!
♡

Find a sysyem.
Avoid toxic friends/relatives. I wasted most of my college years listening to toxic relatives and friends when I should've gained advice from the ones who actually cared about me. My nuclear family, best friends, and boyfriend are the main reasons why I took the time to revaluate myself. Toxic people don't give you the chance to even think for yourself.
Find people who view you as an equal not as a doormat or whatever. Also cut off those toxic family and friends. There are a lot of people who gain satisfaction from your suffering. Don't let them!
Have a nice day everyone!

Wow thanks! Was in a very need of this words!
I am almost guilty to read all of the stories in the comments here because I don’t work even half of that amount :sob:  🤣, but reading your story made me realise that I too might have had a burnout last year, I was working well beyond my limits ( but still not as much as everyone else did in this comment section lol :joy: ). I went in depression and am still recovering
Don't compare yourself to others like that lol. Everyone has their own limits and they're all perceived differently! Get that rest boo, but make sure to go back and defeat those studies! :two_hearts:

I am surrounded by toxic people.I had a time back in my school years that I don’t wanna to go to school and my anxiety get worse.Nowaydays because I failed in in the university that I want I am fearing that my anxiety will gonna back.(sorry for any grammar mistakes I am still improving my English)Anyways I am happy that you get better,I wish to you just positive things :relaxed: .
Thank you, I also wish only the best for you! I hope that whatever stands in your way, you'll always be able to overcome. :two_hearts: :two_hearts:
#featurethis !!! I am so glad you recovered!!! As a person with a relatively weak body, I out a lot and i had a couple of burnouts over the course of 4ish months just because i wanted to make up for all the time I missed from being in hospital. I am fairly attached to my grades but this blog really encouraged me to let go. I am so inspired that i am crying a little atm . Thank you so much for this. I am genuinely so inspired. I also love the way you structured your blog and the aesthetic is so nice. I think you chose the gifs really well because for some reason they relaxed me a bit. Again thank you for this beautiful post!!^-^ :seedling: :bouquet:
Thank you, I am glad this helped you! One of the main things I learned from this was that, hurting your body for good grades works initially, but as time progresses can one keep it up? As our health deteriorates so does our grades. Our mind and body are the reasons we gained those good grades. Taking care of ourselves is the least we can do to say, "Thank you for your hardwork" to your body lol. Again, thank you for reading this blog and I hope some of these help you! I also wish for your good health and grades. :relaxed: :two_hearts:
YESSSS TALK TO UR DOGGOOOOOOO and romantic panda eyes?? I AGREEEE!! But thank you for this because it’s only my second year of hs and I’m already tired but my grades haven’t faltered but I feel less motivated to go to school though thank you for this and I’ll definitely find a hobby and relieve myself of stress more often!!
