A few weeks ago, my sister pulled out some of her clay to make knitting placeholders, so I thought I'd try my hand at a little clay project.
I mixed together some magenta pink with white until I got a color of pink that would work for igglybuff, and then spent tons of time trying to get the three poofs just right. It took forever!
I'm used to working with small perler beads and tiny pieces of felt for plushies, so I have some lessons in patience. The eyes were pretty frustrating too because I wanted them to be thin and similar in size. And the tongue was super difficult, especially when it came to indenting the mouth enough to fit with the tongue. But it came together in the end!
One major problem I had was keeping this thing clean while I worked with it :anguished: you can probably see smudging all over the piece. I heard that rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover could help, is that true? Does anybody have some tips and tricks when working with clay to keep it clean?
I might make some more clay work in the future, but probably not as often as my perler pieces. Would you like to see me try this again?
Ps: Just a reminder that my artkal and perler melt testing video comes out tomorrow, keep an eye out for it!
