It’s Sparky’s 14th birthday today!! I’m so happy for this amazing lil mare, she definitely deserves a quick birthday post :smiley: 🍾

Sparky was born on the 25th of October 2005. I don’t know a whole lot about her birth, but it was definitely a happy one knowing the baby that was born was Sparky 🥰

She did some endurance with her owner before I came along. They first did a 120km marathon, which was 40km each day for three days straight. Sparky did perfectly in that ride!

Sparky’s owner also entered an 80km ride with Sparky, but Sparky unfortunately threw her off after a big fright at what seemed to be nothing! After that, her owner couldn’t ride very often so Sparky was sort of just sittin around in the paddock for around two years with Gift.

And then in January, I got a call that there were two horses I could train up to do endurance with!! Ever since then, Sparky has been doing awesome in endurance with me. No matter how many vet outs or catastrophes we endure, I’m always going to be grateful I’m able to work with this amazing mare!

Sparky is such an awesome horse and age will never change that!

We have our first endurance ride over 80km next weekend. This ride is 120km, and I’m anxious but excited to see how Sparky goes with it!
