Flicka’s First Show!

Hey hey hey! Welcome back to another post! I hope your day is well! Today was a very exciting day for Flicka and I, as we competed for the very first time together! We were number 067 and I can’t wait to tell you guys how it went! So, let’s begin!

Performance

Class #1: Equitation Walk/Jog

Ribbon Received: Red

Was overall a very good ride! I just had to have softer hands, and my hands were in the wrong position. Other than that, it was a great class!

Class #2: Equitation Walk/Jog/Lope

Ribbon received: Red

Same as the last one, good ride, just a few things to work on!

Showmanship

Class #3: Intermediate Showmanship

Don’t have any video of this one, so I’ll just put in a picture. Was overall really good, and Flicka did awesome, I just started from the wrong side of the cone.

Gaming

Class #4: Key Race

Ribbon Received: Blue

Time: 16.5 Seconds

I FREAKING love this run! This was Flicka’s first time ever doing Key Race, and we came home with a blue ribbon! I have no complaints at all! I’m so proud of Flicka! I also almost forgot to acknowledge the judge so I gave my mother a mini heart attack haha…

Class #5: Pole Bending

Ribbon Received: White

Time: 44.5 Seconds

Eh, this one was a little rough, but we saved it! I did almost fall off, but it’s no one’s fault because Flicka just got confused. We managed to get a ribbon though!

Class #6: Figure 8’s

Ribbon Received: White

Time: 33.3 Seconds

This one was really good, just could work on some tighter turns and encouraging Flicka, but since this was her first time I didn’t want to push things. I’m pretty happy with this one!

Class #7: Barrel Racing

Ribbon Received: White

Time: 23.3 Seconds

I love this run! For Flicka’s first time, she did awesome! The first barrel was a little messy, but the second and third were pretty nice. We got a clean run, and that’s a win in my book!

So, that was Flicka and I’s very first time competing together! I think it went awesome and I’m so proud of Flick! Now, it’s time for PHOTO DUMP!!!! :sparkles:
