This is in response to my #WhatIMiss challenge.
I’ve had Celiac Disease for about 7 years now, so I had gluten before then.
The two main things I really miss are doughnuts and bread.

I’ve had some close doughnuts at a place in Chicago called Do Rite Doughnuts and they’ve been super good but only if they are fresh. They have this bouncy texture that should be what doughnuts taste like. I find most gluten free doughnuts I’ve had have been in the freezer and I microwave them but they are too much like cake and not flakey enough.

I also miss bread. I can fairly say I’ve never had bread that’s been an exact copy of regular bread. Some bread is too stiff while others just fall apart. I toast my bread anytime I put them on a sandwich because they hold together better. I also think this can lead into buns. Several restaurants offer gluten free buns but they are usually too thick and crumbly.

Yeah, I find that with the bread I've been running into it's just too dense.
