➤ hello! its cavanisgirl here with another post! recently i've read an article about the football clubs and their nicknames. it inspired me to create my own post about ligue 1 clubs and their nicknames. i really hope you enjoy this post and let me know your thoughts in the comments!

➤ olympique lyonnais, a club playing in ligue 1 and one of the french giants, is also well known as les gones, what means in french "the kids" in the dialect of arpitan. i personally find this name a little funny - lyon is one of the best team in the whole league so they are definitely really experienced and had the longest streak of seven consecutive league titles.

➤ i left this french giants for the end. their first nickname is pretty obvious as it's simply les parisiens as this is a team coming from paris. their another commonly used nickname is les rouge at bleu - the red and the blues what simply accords to their shirt colours.
