hello everyone!

very long time no see :smiley: how’s yall doing these days?? it have to be good, right :smirk_cat: i’ve been really busy this year so i dont even open have a time to this app t_t anyway, i watched strong girl gang nam soon a days ago and just finished it today. i wanna give an opinion about this drama (moreover the ending :wink: ) i actually ever made a blog like this before so yeah :neutral_face: lets read the synopsis and see the cast :raised_hands:

Kang Nam Soon has superhuman strength. She went missing as a kid in Mongolia. Now as an adult, she comes to Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea to find her parents. She finally meets her mother Hwang Geum Joo. Her mother is a wealthy woman and a resident of Gangnam. After she lost her daughter, Hwang Geum Joo tried to find her daughter and she also tried to live a righteous life, obsessed with doing good deeds. Gil Joong Gan is Hwang Geum Joo's mother and Kang Nam Soon’s grandmother. The grandmother and mother were also born with superhuman like strength like Kang Nam Soon. Somehow, Kang Nam Soon, her mother Hwang Geum Joo and her grandmother Gil Joong Gan get involved in a drug case that takes place in Gangnam. Detective Kang Hee Sik begins to work with the 3 women on the drug case. Detective Kang Hee Sik also becomes attracted to Kang Nam Soon.

okay, actually this drama is one of my favorite drama that aired in 2023. i love the plot, i love the storyline. BUT, sadly i hate the “to-ending episode” aka ep 14-16. why? because the loveline became so weird.

we all know that, ml and fml are in love. but why does writernim involve a third person, aka second lead, aka Ryu Si O. i mean, there’s no need like this, why suddenly there is another person who disturbs (especially a villain). does writernim want the watcher got second lead syndrome?

the thing is, the second lead is a villain, accidentally/deliberately, the writer has invited us to give sympathy to the villain who is clearly wrong. thats what makes me disappointed. then, when Si O already knew that Tsegtseg was Nam Soon, the way he took it off didn't really good. not smooth and really strange. then, the ending was a bit lacking imo. the way they closed Si O case wasnt too focused, it was just like ending it like with su*cide. so imo its not interesting and the story focuses elsewhere. then suddenly there’s a plot twist about Bread Song (Nozh) who turns out to be Pavel’s, tbh its okay to have a plot twist at the end because a lot of kdramas are like that too, but imo they put this too late.

about love again. namsoon’s grandma & the barista, two beggars who met namsoon in the first episode. actually, thats isnt that important.

AND, hwang geumjoo. i think writernim emphasizes that character too much. (sorry im gonna comparing it to other dramas) after i watched strong girl nam soon, i watched strong girl bong soon. and there is a difference that imo its better that strong girl nam soon is like that. (strong girl bong soon) the power is focused on bongsoon only, so it doesnt highlight her mother nor grandma. as i said earlier, Strong Girl Nam Soon its focusing fl mother’s character as the lead, so they doesnt really focus on the main character. i even thought, why isnt the title is "strong girl hwang geumjoo"?

its just my opinion, guys. i dont say that this drama is bad, cuz this drama is good in other aspect (acting, cgi, setting, etc.) and its also one of the good dramas i watched in 2023. so dont get me wrong guys :satisfied: i hope you accept my opinion. tbh, i was a bit rude when i wrote this blog :sob:
