Prison Playbook

Hello My Drama Loving Fanatics.

So I finished Prison Playbook last week and

I'll tell you right now...

I loved it.

So before watching it I didn't know what the

drama was about. All I knew was the title,

that some of my KDA friends said it was good

and I saw how the poster looked.

Looking at the poster and title I assumed the

drama would be about someone being framed

and sent to prison and this would be a heavy

crime/fighting for justice type show. The poster

makes the show look so heavy.

But this is not the case. This drama has heavy

moments but it is actually so funny and light

at the same time. It's actually a dark comedy.

Which makes sense because after the first few

minutes of episode 1 I went to read a recap and

found out this drama is from the same director

who brought us the "Reply" series. Anyone who is

a fan of the "Reply" series knows the series has a

way of giving us serious moments mixed with

comedy and life lessons.

Not only that, but we also get a lot of well

developed characters. And the characters

in Prison Playbook are just so great, almost

everyone is between bad and good. Honestly

it makes me want to go to prison. (I had to

remind myself multiple times that this isn't

realistic to keep myself from commiting

a crime.)

One character I enjoyed a lot was our lead, Kim

Je-Hyeok. Seriously if you watched "Reply 1988"

I really feel like Je-Hyeok is like Choi Taek if

Taekkie was grown up and went to prison. And

Choi Taek was my favorite character in "Reply

1988", so it's nice to get a main character with

similar vibes.

So if you haven't watched it yet and you enjoyed

the Reply series or even if you just want to

watch something different, you should give it a

try. You may end up loving it like I did.

And if you still can't find a reason do it for Jung

Hae-In. He's just so damn adorable.
