I have three dramas that I think could fit in

my number 10 spot, "Sisyphus: The Myth",

"Imitation", and "My Name". I obviously chose

"My Name" because the story is definitely

better. I actually finished this drama a few

days before Christmas and I went in with

high expectations after hearing good things

about it. I have to say that I'm impressed,

everything was so exciting and one can't go

wrong with a revenge based plot. Story was

kinda predictable no lie but acting was superb,

action scenes were fantastic, and every

character was down right sick to the bone.

Han So Hee never disappoints, she is such

a queen and Ahn Bo Hyun is a real treat.

Plus, the men who played Choi Mu Jin and

Do Gang Jae deserve awards. Those

characters were trash human beings but

somehow still manage to be hot af (there

was just way too many good looking guys).

I guess all I'm trying to say is if you love a

little crazy (I know I do) then this drama is

a must watch, no questions asked.

I honestly had no plans to watch "Move to

Heaven" but decided to give it a go on a

whim back in May, and wow I was absolutely

blown away with how exceptional it was

from start to finish. Although, at first I was

a little worried that this drama wasn't going

to be my cup of tea because I can't handle

things mainly related to death (my anxiety

goes through the roof). However, the story

was executed perfectly while calmly

emphasizing everyone's life is precious

and their final move on earth is just as

important. Acting was just so well done,

Lee Je Hoon and Tang Jun Sang did a

fantastic job as uncle and nephew. Their

family dynamic was a funny yet heartwarming

one. I surely fell in love with these two as

they made me laugh and cry throughout the

whole series. A second season would be nice

to watch, hopefully they'll come through for

us one day. Also, I have to mention I loved

Lee Jae Wook's guest appearance and I'm

currently missing that boy more than anything.

Such a relief... waited 3 years for this drama

thinking it was long gone with a zero chance

of ever watching it but the K-drama gods came

through for me. Hands down, "So I Married an

Anti-Fan" is one of the best rom-coms of 2021

and I'm not exgaggerating. However, I it

that the story turned out to be very typical

and cringeworthy which was not a surprise

to me but I still managed to love the outcome

with my whole heart. Choi Tae Joon did so

well at portraying an idol while Choi Soo

Young executed an anti-fan perfectly. I couldn't

think of a better duo with amazing chemistry

to do it better. The only downfall of this series

is the ing characters, sometimes they

were unbearable but Hwang Chan Sung

never disappoints. I don't know if this has

been known but I absolutely adored the 2016

Chinese movie version so I might have been

a little biased towards the K-drama version

The story itself is such a classic, you seriously

can't go wrong with either verison in my eyes.

Take me back to the summer you guys

because I loved this drama. Totally a hidden

and underrated gem from this year that I'm

wanting to binge again. I really didn't have

any high expectations when starting, and I

thought "At a Distance, Spring is Green" was

your average romance school drama like

something light and fluffy but the story itself

was heavy and had more depth than what I

realized at the time. It tackles many situations

young adults may experience in their youth

and I find that to be told in a very refreshing yet

relatable way. Everything was acted out extremely

well from supposedly rookie actors and actresses.

I was impressed for sure. They really took their

characters and expressed their pain and

struggles while building romance and friendship.

For anyone who is curious, I think the bromance between Park Ji Hoon and Bae In Hyuk

was a lot stronger than the romance between

the main couple but it's still enjoyable. By the

way, this drama introduced me to my new love

Bae In Hyuk whose character I adored and

might have been my favorite.

There has been no more Romantic Sundays

for a while now (if you know you know), didn't

really think I would get attached to "HomeCha"

after binging the first six episodes but this

was the first drama I started to watch after my

slump (and horrible summer). I wanted something

light and funny while diving in with zero

expectations at the time and this drama

unexpectedly brought me a lot of comfort.

I didn't think the story was going to be so

wholesome and welcoming... but it truly felt

like "home". I miss the warm, relaxing, and

feel good vibes I experienced when watching

each episode. I it that the story is a bit

cliché but without a doubt I love a good

family-life drama and I think they nailed that

concept while writing it in such a beautiful

and relatable way. Shin Min Ah and Kim Seon Ho

really brought their characters to life and I

didn't think they could have so much chemistry

but they did an amazing job. Plus, the Gongjin

villagers helped carry the series, it wouldn't

have been the same without them. This is a

masterpiece at it's finest and a must watch

from 2021 in my opinion.

Most heartbreaking drama from 2021 and

I'm not afraid to say it. Even though I loved

"Youth of May" I could never put myself through

the pain and misery of watching it for a second

or third time. So you are all probably wondering

why I have it high on my list? Well, to answer

that question, it is for many reasons. For starters,

the story was fantastic regardless of how

much they made us suffer, I still fell in love

with the overall concept and time period taken

place. Don't even get me started on the acting...

it was top notch. I expected nothing less from

Go Min Si and Lee Do Hyun, they did extremely

well. Listen to me when I say that expressions,

emotions, and chemistry was off the charts.

They made an amazing couple and I know

a lot of people were worried because they played

siblings in "Sweet Home" but I didn't watch

that drama so I had nothing to worry about.

I feel sorry for those who skipped out on this

gem because they don't know what they're

missing. In the end, the happy moments will

make you laugh but the sad moments will

make you cry and that form of storytelling

makes a perfect drama in my eyes.

I still can't believe how underrated this drama

came out to be, like how? "Navillera" deserved

better and I knew right when I finished the

drama it would be on this list. If you can't find

the beauty behind the story something is obviously

wrong. The series was so refreshing yet emotional

with everything being told through the eyes of

a 70 year old man and 23 year old year old boy

who share the exact same ion of dance.

I truly fell in love with both leads as they expressed

their overall fear and excitement of chasing

after your dreams (no matter the age). Their

character development was a memorable one

for me too and probably one of the best I recently

seen. I also never learned so much from a

drama before but I was reminded that we only

live once and every moment counts, so do

what feels right. Try your best and never stop

dreaming. This national treasure was a must

watch of 2021, and so many people probably

missed out on a meaningful chapter that takes

you through the journey of life and I miss it.

I don't care, say what you want but "True Beauty"

still counts as a 2021 drama and it would have

been on last years list but I will not count any

drama until I finish it. So, let's please go

back a few months and refresh our memory

to the drama that made me the happiest. "True

Beauty" was in my number one spot for a very

long time and I've been attached since the

first episode airing date. However, I it that

the series itself is filled with clichés and

cringeworthy moments. Nothing special or out

out of the ordinary but I think that is why I enjoyed

it so much. They didn't go out of their way to

change the story from the webtoon, in which

I started reading in the summer but didn't finish

to filled an empty void (tell me I'm not obsessed).

Characters had their second hand embarrassment

moments but still had that lovable charm.

Moon Ga Young had chemistry with both of

her co-stars which sometimes isn't an easy

thing to do but my girl done did that. I really

miss this drama, could talk about it forever

and forever but it just made me feel happy.

Maybe it's time for a rewatch??

I had no plans to watch this drama nor plans

to even enjoy it what-so-ever but here we are

after completing it at the beginning of December.

Did I almost miss out on this masterpiece?

Yes! because I thought it was going to be scary,

plus I can't handle a lot of gore/blood but

"Squid Game" is the real deal sis. If you haven't

jumped on this bandwagon yet you're seriously

missing out. This is by far the craziest drama

I've ever watched in my entire life. The things

people do for money, the gore, the violence, the

betrayal, and all the suffering is truly disturbing

while being difficult to bear but all together the

story hands down it totally awesome. It started

as a series that was out of my comfort zone,

but rose to the top as I still can't get over the

suspense and thrill of what will be happening

next. I'm probably not the first to say this but

Seong Gi Hun was my favorite character (Ali

close second) and I noticed a lot of people

didn't like him but he has my heart for sure.

Also, for anyone who cares my favorite game

was the jumping on the glass. Anyway, the series

deserves all the hype it has been given this year

and for anyone who thinks otherwise can

go away now.

I knew "Taxi Driver" was going to be my favorite

K-drama of 2021, and I know I talked about

this series a lot on KDA but it has everything

I hoped for in a revenge related drama. The

series isn't all about violence but it also brings

awareness to those who are physically and

mentally abused while showing the ugly side

side of the world in such raw and realistic

way. The accuracy of this drama is no joke,

story is totally top notch. For those who didn't

watch, you will be amazed at how everything

naturally flows with not a single dull moment.

As Lee Je Hoon really shined through with his

role as the legendary Kim Do Ki and nobody could

have done it better because this was his year.

Kim Do Ki brought justice to those victims and

I will forever love him as one of my favorite

male leads, simply for his overall badassery.

However, I won't ever forget the ing

characters (such a great cast) as they also carried

this drama with their roles (miss Rainbow Taxi).

Hoping season 2 is just as awesome as

season 1 and you better believe I have high

expectations for what is to come.

Your list is amazing and I still dread the act of ranking dramas, i mean it's so damn hard yet you do a great job everytime!

I've been wanting to watch my name since a long time but damn these procrastinations. Move to heaven was so good but at some point, I felt like it was boring ig. But i definitely love watching the death genre. I only started watching the anti fan movie but idk, I dropped it in the first 5 mins but ig I'm really motivated to watch the drama now after reading your blog. The spring drama was also so wholesome and from the poster, i really never got the vibe that it'd actually be dark and touch some sensitive topics uk. Although I'm not the one for bromance but i enjoyed this drama nevertheless. Hey! We match on HC3 because I was also on a slump and this drama got me back on track. I love such kind of dramas with villagers and feel good, cozy vibes. Youth of may was surely so heartbreaking but kinda slow at some points, yet I loved the leads' pair, they really look good together. True beauty sure is perfect, no doubt. From the leads to humor to message, everything is down right perfect. I've always had second thoughts about watching navillera, always decided i won't watch but istg when you said its filled with life lessons, I guess I'm into it. I don't even have words to define how good squid game was and looking forward to s2. And lastly, never watched taxi driver but heard a lot about it. Will definitely watch it.

I had so much fun reading your blog and I'm so sorry for this super long comment :sob:
