Some of us may have noticed that during the school year, after waking up at a set time regularly, we will wake up around that team on weekends even without setting an alarm. This is because of our internal clock. To put it simply, it is what keeps us awake during the day, abd what makes us sleepy at night.

If we mess up our sleep schedule, it can lead to many problems. Some problems include drowsiness, mood swings, irritability, concentration issues, lower thinking capability, and headaches. Disrupting your internal clock can also effect how well you sleep, and how long you are in deep sleep for.

I'm no expert on sleep, but I'll share a couple sleeping tips I have to help you fall asleep and fix your sleeping schedule. Some methods I have found to be helpful are:

►Instrumental music: Personally I have found listening to music with lyrics to often keep me awake rather than out me to sleep. However, when listening to music without words, I often find it easier to sleep.

►Meditation: I know this sounds a little crazy, but if I meditate for even just 5 minutes before sleeping using an app on m phone, sleep tends to come much easier. Personally, I use the free courses on headspace, and I have found them helpful.

►Writing: Another useful tip I have discovered for myself is writing before bed. I journal, and letting out all of my emotions before heading to bed often helps me feel less stressed and overwhelmed before sleeping, allowing me to shut off my mind and be at peace.

I have this game called 'Paint by Number' and it gets me sleepy all the time. It's relaxing and fun to play as well. And I've kind of - messed up my internal clock. It sucks. XD But I just can't help it, at all, and school is right around the corner for me. D':
