My Meds

Blink once, blink twice. He’s still there. That’s nice.

Blink once more, he won’t go away. Perhaps he’s here to stay.

Stop blinking. He’s real and he’s not going away, Kieran.

He won’t leave so don’t fear him.

It’s lunch time. He’s still here. Following me everywhere.

I tell my friends and family but they don’t seem to care.

Maybe he’s staying. Following me until my last breath.

Plaguing my thoughts until my final rest.

Dinner time. He’s still here. Will he ever leave.

He will eventually is what I want to believe.

He just stands behind me. Never moving unless I do.

This is worse than anything I knew.

Took my medications. He’s fading away. Perhaps I forgot to take my medication once again. With my head quiet and my thoughts organized. With the man gone and my sanity back. Maybe I can rest until I need to take my meds again. If I don’t, the man will attack.

I need to take my meds.
