Intro 🌙

Hello! I'll be the new host of the Lunar Magick chat! I've always felt pulled to the moon and its powers even when I was young. When I began with witchcraft, the moon was my go-to for everything. I welcome you to come me in the chat if you want to work with, follow, learn about or talk about the moon, or if the moon is already a part of your practice!

What is Lunar Magick? 🌙

Lunar Magick is working with the energy of the moon and each of it's phases to manifest/set intentions, release the old to bring in the new, and (my personal favorite) align with natural cycles. Working with the moon can include cleansing crystals, and other tools in moonlight, creating moon water, creating spells that work with the moon's energy and sometimes with the phase it's in, and incorporating the moon into rituals.

Plans for the chat!🌙

I wanna personally offer full and new moon readings to in the chat every full and new moon. There will be a cap to how many I can/will do. If anyone else would like to as well, you are more than welcome! Just make sure when asking or doing a reading for someone in the chat to follow the readings rules in the chat description!

Full disclaimer, I'm no expert on tarot readings, so these are just to help me practice and get comfortable with reading for others. Hopefully, it works out!

I hope to change the daily prompts weekly or monthly (we'll see) to bring in new conversation.

I hope to post a monthly newsletter with info about the moons in the month as well as either a small ritual or a tarot spread you could try yourself!

There *could* be monthly challenges that I do if I can come up with ideas! Stay tuned for sure!

New moon in Taurus: April 27, 3:30pm EDT

New moons are a great time for fresh starts, introspection, and setting intentions!

Taurus is an Earth sign that is ruled by Venus. It's a good reminder to slow down, ground yourself, and set intentions to make them last. Taurus brings a nurturing, calming energy to our lives.

This is a great time to set intentions pertaining to love, self-love, beauty, finances, stability and security, and physical well-being.

This year, this month's new moon is a super new moon! You may be wondering, "What is a super new moon?" Well, a super newmoon happens when the moon is the closest to earth as it can possibly get. This is called a perigee; vs an apogee, which is when the moon is the farthest from the sun it can be.

The super new moon is like a supercharged new moon. The energies of the moon are much more potent on these nights and with Taurus ruling, it's the best time this year for manifesting anything materialized, like manifesting better finances or better living situation, as well as making well established routines and making self care a priority in your life.

Some Ritual/spell ideas:

walk barefoot or meditate in nature, asking the earth to ground your goals

this would be the perfect time for a very powerful money bowl! With the super new moon!

Create a ritual bath with rose, lavender, or sandalwood, light candles, and fully indulge in sensory relaxation while setting your intentions.

Cleanse and redecorate your space to invite in new, cozy, ive energies.

Write affirmations or intentions about loving and valuing yourself. You can charge rose quartz under the new moon for heart-centered work.

I just wanted to add a little on this month's new moon to give a little sneak peak of what the newsletters will be like! Plus I wanted to talk about the super new moon, as I just recently learned about it. That being said if I got anything wrong I apologize and feel free to kindly correct anything in the comments.   Like I said I just recently learned about super new moons so I'm no expert on it yet.
