【A Little About Me】

Salutations! My name is Leaf, and I am 14 years old, turning 15 in less than 3 months. There isn't much I want you guys to know that you probably don't know already, so this part may be short to avoid repetition (stuff for future sections). However, if you wish to know more, here is my about wiki.

【Availability】

My time zone is EST since I live one the Eastern side of the US. Here is my general schedule/availability:

【Activity】

I am actually pretty active on this amino, even though I'm never really too sure why I'm here. With that being said, I'm never on for less than 200 minutes a day and my weekly minutes never reach below 1,000. The only excuse would be if I am on punishment, and even then I still manage to at least check in every day. Basically, I am pretty much always on for something.

【Leadership Experience】

I am an older sister. Not only am I an older sister, but I am also one who pretty much had to raise my little sister. Out of that, I have acquired patience, assertiveness, initiative, and integrity. I also am a section leader in my high school choir, which has assisted me in knowing how to handle situations in a calm manner when still getting my point across.

【Important Skills】

I don't really let my opinions show when I am in a professional setting. For example, in choir, if a soprano insults me in any kind of way after I have done my job and checked their behavior or pitch, I would simply repeat myself in a firm way that makes them understand that it would be wise to just oblige. I would never go off on someone, and I would never take action based on my own emotions and thoughts. I do not see that to be a fair form of action.

I would disable posts that violate [Guidelines] (of course)- whether that be by spam, ment, drama related, off-topic, etc. The easiest ones to spot are ones that violate the three sentences rule, but I would also try my very best to get rid of ones that involve 18+ topics.

All five of these public chatrooms have 1-3 in them and have not been active for up to a week. At this point, they would be considered spam and do not need to exist anymore.

I would go ahead and disable all the inactive chatrooms, ones with either no description at all or ones with offtopic descriptions and those that really should be taken to PMs.

【Challenges/Tutorials Ideas】

Switcheroo Challenge

One challenge idea I have is maybe a mind switch challenge. It would be based on body-switching movies like Freaky Friday and other things like that, where people write short stories of their OCs switching bodies with someone, whether it be their biggest enemy or their greatest friend.

Poetry Prompts Challenge

Another challenge idea I have is a poetry prompt challenge. In this challenge, participants would be given a phrase or a prompt to which they would write a poem that relates to what they were given. The poem that is best written would win prizes such as coins and a spam of likes. An example of a prompt given would be something like this: Write about your OC longing for someone they don't know anymore.

Successfully Making A Detailed OC

A tutorial idea I have would be how to make a detailed OC. I would go into depth on how to make sure you use a template to its fullest and really go into detail about how to make your character well-rounded. I would express the difference between detailed and overbearing, showing examples of what the right amount is and what too much/too little is.

I would make myself available for by making it clear that my PMs are always open. I would probably get a title that says "Ask Me Anything", or something along those lines. I would definitely make sure I am on very often so that I am able to respond to people who reach out and am able to do more of my job for longer.

【Reasons For Applying】

I want the position as a curator because I feel I could help listen to the load that curators have. I think my activity levels would help me do my job more efficiently, and I could help get more done. I also want to be a curator because I look up to a lot of the staff and I want to give back to this community, which just so happens to be the community that caused me to stay on Amino. I think I can bring different viewpoints to the table and that's always something that's needed.

【#1】

A member, who is unsatisfied by the people who them for role-plays, begins making insulting blog posts about them. They don't use names, however, it's very clear it's about other people in the community. How do you handle the situation?

I would disable the post and politely message the author, stating that blatant rants against other of the community are against [Guidelines] and they should take the drama somewhere else.

【#2】

They react negatively to whatever you do above, calling you names and saying that you are a close minded person. Nobody is perfect, they say. Now, what do you do?

I would then assure them that I understand why they would want to create a post to express their feelings, but I would again remind them that this is not the place to do it. I would suggest that they work it out with the people who are causing the problem or just simply rant somewhere that it is tolerable to do so. I would definitely keep a professional tone, but I would also try to offer advice so that I don't seem too robotic.

【#3】

You have a disagreement with another one of the curators and are angered/annoyed by their actions. You believe what they are doing is wrong. What do you do?

I would just voice my opinion. I do not like starting drama, so I wouldn't throw any insults or show very many signs that I am angry. I would want the opinion of another staff member. Either way, I know in the end that I would definitely drop it, for everyone has their own views.

【#4】

A member starts trolling you for no apparent reason except the fact that you are a Staff Member and they think curators are all bad people. They won't stop messaging you and are very rude. What do you do?

I would kindly ask them to stop, and if that doesn't work, I would ignore it. If it gets too out of hand I would punish them accordingly for harassment, making sure it doesn't happen again. I wouldn't let it get to me too much, that's for sure. They have their opinions. I know I'm a good person, i won't let their small opinion decide how I am.

I am someone who comes up with many ideas at random moments. So, I will definitely have more ideas down the line if you do choose to have me.
