𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐑;
The stars fell first.
Long ago, Aetherion was whole.
The sun blessed the golden cities with light. The stars sang fate into every newborn soul. The skies roared with divine dominion. And the Moonmother, Selhara, watched from the quiet dark, her silver gaze a balm against madness. The gods walked among mortals, guiding them, shaping kingdoms, and claiming worship through miracles and war.
But then came the Hollow.
A force not of this world, nor any plane known to creation. It consumed memory, unraveled time, and turned divine realms into formless silence. Gods perished screaming. Temples crumbled. Prayers went unanswered. And in a final, desperate act, the Moonmother sacrificed herself, becoming the eternal veil between Aetherion and the Hollow’s maw.
She was not enough.
Now the age of ruin begins.
The gods that survived are weakened, fractured by loss and desperate to maintain their dominion. Faith becomes a currency. Worship a weapon. Skyborne wars rage across the heavens, divine banners burning as mortal armies are conscripted like pawns. Fields lie fallow. Rivers forget their names. In the east, children are born with blank eyes. In the west, fire rains from cloudless skies. And in the dark places between cities, an aura so ancient begins to stir…
The world turns. The realm cracks. Mortals whisper of new heresies. Cultists chant that the gods are dead. Others seek vengeance…or ascendancy. And from the depths of old magic, godeaters rise. Warriors, heretics, chosen or cursed…beings with the power to devour the divine essence. Some claim they are Aetherion’s salvation. Others call them abominations. All fear they’re coming...
But in the void left by the gods’ absence, there is opportunity. Whether you are forged from mortal clay or born beneath celestial fire, this broken world has need of you.
Are you a godeater, hunted and worshiped in equal measure, seeking purpose or power in a dying world?
A Hollowborne, touched by the very thing that undid the heavens, hiding your hunger in human skin?
A demigod, struggling to uphold the shattered legacy of a silent parent?
A mortal, brave and desperate, trying to protect your family, your kingdom, your soul?
Or perhaps…a god yet breathing, desperate to restore your place in a pantheon that crumbles by the hour?

⸻
Factions rise. Realms bleed. The Hollow returns. The Silver Witness weeps from her towers. The Sun burns their own cities to ash. And somewhere, deep beneath forgotten ruins…a sword still hums with the Moonmother’s last breath…a relic of slaying gods…or the Hollow.
Pick up your oath. Find your faith. Light your fire.
The empty throne of Atherion awaits for its next god. And flame re all.
✦ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐋𝐄 ✦
“Where gods are born…or unmade.”
At the edge of all known planes, beyond the reach of gods and the memory of mortals, there lies the Celestial Cradle: a place older than the stars themselves. It is not heaven, nor a throne, but a womb.
This is where the divine were forged, not birthed by flesh. Where fire was given name. Where stars were sung into being. And it is sealed, hidden behind veils of time, faith, and forgotten constellations. But now the seals begin to fracture. The Hollow’s corruption has weakened the borders between divine and mortal. Echoes of the Cradle bleed through into dreams, rituals, and visions—exposing its raw power. Some hear voices…Others see constellations rearranged in the night sky…And a few…are given stars.
✦ The Fragmented Stars
Only those who carry a Fragmented Star may access the paths that lead to the Cradle. These relics…pieces of the original forge flame and are scattered across Aetherion, fused into souls, slumbering in sacred bloodlines, or hidden in the hearts of ancient monsters…
Some characters already carry one, whether knowingly or not. Others will have to seek them, steal them, or earn them through pact, pilgrimage, or prophecy. Some will burn themselves for even daring to hold one. To reach the Celestial Cradle is to become more than what you are.
✦ Your Role in the Cosmic Endgame:
What do you seek when the gates of Atherion open for a mortal such as yourself? To destroy the last gods, so mortals may shape the realms for themselves? To ascend, claiming divinity and bringing balance to a realm crumbling under war and silence? To rebuild Aetherion from its ruins and resurrect the sacred cycle the Hollow tried to erase?
You may be divine, cursed, mortal, or in between…but if you possess a star, you matter.
The path to the Cradle is not linear. It crosses ruined temples, godless kingdoms, and Hollow-scarred battlefields. And worse…people besides you will seek it too: tyrant demi-gods, traitorous priests, celestial assassins, and Hollowborne beings who believe no one deserves the light…
This story is your myth.
Your flame is burning.
Your final becoming.
𝐒𝐄𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆(𝐒);
Set in a fractured world where ancient celestial forces intertwine with mortal destinies, the realm of Atherion and its physical counterpart stand at the brink of cosmic upheaval. It is the year 482 of the New Era, a time when gods slumber and mortals grapple with fading faith, while dark powers stir beneath fractured skies. The theme is a sweeping high fantasy saga of divine war, fractured religion, and eldritch secrets. Every shadow hides a threat, every alliance conceals a hidden agenda, and every soul carries the weight of destiny. Survival collide beneath a star-strewn sky waiting to be reborn or consumed…
𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐓;
The Gods Have Fallen Silent…
Once, the gods of Atherion walked among mortals, their temples alive with song and sacrifice. But after the Hollow, a cosmic force of unmaking pierced the veil and devoured part of the divine realm, silence fell across the heavens. Fields rot despite prayer. Plagues spread. The stars flicker. It is said the Moonmother gave her life to seal the Hollow’s first incursion, becoming the pale moon above. Her sister, the Starborn Queen, now rules in her absence, a celestial empress burdened by grief…
But the Hollow still hungers.
Now, gods fight amongst themselves for survival. Worship fuels their divinity; without it, they wither into nothing. Mortals are conscripted into wars that no longer feel sacred…New religions rise. Anti-god cults call for the end of all divine rule. Godeaters…those who consume divinity walk among the people, mortal in flesh. Some revered as saviors, others hunted like demons.
You are a fragment in this chaos. And yet, the world will turn because of you.
You may be a god seeking to restore your pantheon, a demigod hiding from divine wars, a mortal scholar chasing a fragmented star, or a Hollowborne creature pretending to be human. Perhaps you seek to become a god…or end them all. To reach the Celestial Cradle…the womb of gods…you must gather the shattered pieces of divine power: the Fragmented Stars. Some have one already. Others must find theirs. All must face the Hollow’s return…
As balance collapses and the world teeters between ascension and oblivion, guilds rise, alliances break, and celestial blood begins to boil.
Will you kneel to the gods, eat them, or take their place?

Once a beacon of divine order, You, The Sun now burn with unstable intensity. You lead one of the last strongholds of the Old Faith in Aetherion. Your temples demand military tithes and obedience in return for warmth, protection, and light. You see the Hollow as a spiritual corruption and have declared open war on those who consort with Godeaters or question the sanctity of the divine.

After Selhara sacrificed herself to protect Aetherion from the Hollow, You, her younger sister inherited her duty. You now guard the last barriers between realms, weaving wards in starlight and dream. You are known to speak through visions and appears to those with celestial blood or worship. Your temples are few but sacred, often hidden within dreamscapes or high-altitude sanctuaries.

With the Moon gone and the stars thinning, You, as The Sky remain the most commanding of the surviving gods. You govern the balance between the heavens and earth, realms between Atherion and mortal, but your grip has faltered. Known for pride and fury, you now enforce loyalty through spectacle and storms. Your divine legions (Skyborn, angels: yes you can be an Angel rather you are loyal to The Sky is up to you) maintain dominion over the upper realms and airbound sanctuaries.
If you’d like to be a god, know all three have a chapter correlating to them. Each god will have different motives, and a different purpose within the story—unless of course you decide otherwise.
— Godeaters (𝟐/𝟑)
Forged in ruin, feared by both gods and mortals, Godeaters are beings who possess the power to consume divine essence, embody Mortal appearances. This ability may stem from forbidden rituals, Hollow corruption, or ancient bloodlines altered by celestial war.
—
— The Hollowborne (𝟏/𝟑)
Spawned or cursed by the Hollow itself, the Hollowborne are not quite alive, nor entirely dead. These characters are distortions of reality, bringing with them visions, plagues, and madness. Some seek to halt the spread of the Hollow. Others simply watch it unfold.
—
—
—
— Mortals (𝟐/𝟑)
The vast majority of the population. Mortals are farmers, knights, witches, pirates, nobles, assassins, and scholars. Yet they are anything but powerless. Many mortals are rising to power as the divine fail them through invention, rebellion, or sheer will.
—
—
—
— Demigods (𝟏/𝟑)
The blood of a god runs through their veins, but that means nothing in a world where gods fall. Demigods may be hunted, exalted, or ignored but all wrestle with the tension between divine heritage and mortal fragility.

𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐍𝐄:
“When the Stars Fell Silent”
The Fragmented Stars crash into the mortal realm, each piece a call to fate. Prayers go unanswered, temples rot, and strange omens plague the skies. Mortals rise in rebellion, gods tighten their grip, and the Hollow stirs from the deep corners of the world…
Pivoting Event: The fall of the first Star Fragment. Gods wage war. Mortals begin choosing sides.
𝑨𝒕 𝒇𝒊𝒓𝒔𝒕, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒌𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒕𝒐𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆.
They called them Fallen Stars. These shards of divinity, fragments of the Celestial Cradle itself. They rained down like prayers turned weapons, setting fire to oceans, waking dormant mountains, and whispering the names of chosen mortals in their descent…Some were buried in forests. Others pulsed at the bottoms of lakes. One was found within a child’s crib. Another, inside the heart of a slain god.
The stars did not fall by accident.
They were summons…
The world of Aetherion is no longer what it was. The Hollow devoured the voice of the gods. Temples remain still. Fields no longer yield. Prophets dream only of ash. And from the broken spaces between realms, a new age begins not by divine decree, but by mortal hand.
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒎 𝒏𝒐𝒘 𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒕𝒘𝒐 𝒇𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒔:
In the east, the Kingdom of Solareth scorches under the broken eye of the Sun, where paladins hunt godless mages and Hollowborne alike. To the north, Nimirel, the Winter-Tomb Kingdom, has grown quiet, its demi-gods now enthroned like tyrants, the commoners whispering of a curse frozen into their bones. Farther still lies Duskwind Vale, where the forests speak and mortals walk among fallen gods…for a price, of course.
The world is wide, cracked, and singing with a thousand buried truths.
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖.
Some of you were born marked by prophecy. Others stole your right to power. Some have run from it. Others chase it still. But now, across the broken heavens and divided lands, all paths lead to a single truth: the Cradle is awakening and those who reach it will shape the end.
Will you rise a god?
Or end them all?
𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭:
Welcome, travelers of Aetherion. Your journeys begin here! Your first post may take place anywhere within the Mortal Realm: Solareth, Nimirel, Duskwind Vale, or one of its many landmarks. Whether you are mortal, demigod, Godeater, or Hollowborne…your choice matters.
If you possess a Fragmented Star, describe how it came to you…how it changed you. And if you don’t…How did you hear about these stars and what price will you pay to find one?
Let the story begin.
