First Crystals :small_blue_diamond: Adding to my Divination

Hello T&D!

So as I start to explore more divination and

such, I really wanted to get some crystals. I

didn’t really have a fascination with them

until my friend told me how she went into a

shop and was guided into finding the right

crystal for her (she said the palm of her

hand began to tingle; which is how she knew

she found the “right” crystal for her. From

there I had a small interest, but wasn’t really

sold enough to get some. That was when I

was at work one day and my assistant

manager let me know that they were

discounting some books and she’d be

selling them for a dollar. When I started

going through the piles, I found this book:

and decided to give them a try! I went home

and read this from cover to cover and

highlighted which property each crystal

brought to the table. When a few stood out

to me, I decided to ask the Serenity Café chat for

some advice and Amethyst suggested a

multitude of sellers. I ended up going with

BlissCrystals on Etsy, so all of my crystals

have come from them :blush:

So now that my crystals are here, I’d figured

I would create a post about what the book

says the properties each crystal has and

why I decided to get said crystal (with

photos, of course). I’m really hoping this will

become a good cheat-sheet for me in the

future since I’m still learning each crystal

and its use :sweat_smile: .

First Crystal

Amethyst

So for the first crystal I decided to get, I

went with Amethyst. As I was deciding what

to get, I read that they were a good

recharging crystal, which is extremely

important to me. I like to keep my area

charged with positivity! I also tend to get

migraines, so I hope that these crystals can

help with those as well.

Second Crystal

Green Aventurine

As I mentioned in my last post, I’m about to

be going through a grieving period, so I

decided to get the aventurine to help me out

when the time comes. I’d also like to

strengthen my relationship with my KoC

( :wink: ) even though we’re pretty solid.

Third Crystal

Red Garnet

You see the highlight so you know why I got

this one :joy: .

Fourth Crystal

Lapis Lazuli

On top of blue being my favorite color, I

absolutely love the night sky. Van Gogh’s

Starry Night is my FAVORITE painting (I

know it’s cliché but it’s true) so to have the

painting in a crystal is pretty neat! I also tend

to be over emotional and have trouble falling

asleep, so I’m hoping the dark blue helps

ease that. Additionally, I’m really working on

raising my intuition, so I’m hoping the Lapis

helps with that.

Last Crystal

Purple Agate

This crystal actually isn’t in the book I got,

so I’m not sure what it’s purpose is :sweat_smile: . The

seller sent it as a thank-you gift, so I’m

interested in learning more! Please leave a

comment if you know anything about any of

the crystals I got!

As I was reading the book, I did notice a few

things that I disagreed with and quite

honestly thought was bullshit. Although I do

try to have an open mind, I really wouldn’t

recommend this book for other beginners if

you have a hard time separating selling-

points and purposes. I strictly used the

crystal purposes as my reason for getting

the crystals.
