PSA - Summer 2025 Updates

As our spring season comes to a close, we wanted to introduce some of the exciting changes to the community that we will be implementing in the next few months! Please read this blog carefully, as there is a lot of information that we want to ask for your opinion on!

Starting off, we have a new way to interact with challenges! Seasonal Challenges are going to be a series of challenges (all of varying sizes) that will last for three months. These challenges will also have their own reward in the form of a limited “currency” that you can exchange for a variety of fun prizes! This special currency will be provided simply from participating in our various events, so we encourage you to have fun with them! Just be aware that once the season ends, so too does your chance to earn and exchange your seasonal currency – when the shop closes, it closes for good, so be sure to spend your seasonal currency before you lose it all.

Each challenge will be introduced slowly, but will not end until the end of the season, meaning you have plenty of time to participate. Please pace yourself and don’t rush your entries – we’re here to have fun, afterall!

Our first Seasonal Challenge will begin June 1st and will last until September 1st. During this time, we will be celebrating the arrival of a Summer Carnival, so I hope you are excited!

The Rupee system was first introduced in April of 2021, and since then it has seen very few changes in how we reward s and what they can use their rupees on. At the time of writing, the Rupee Shop is very limited, and s are earning more Rupees than they know what to do with! As such, we have decided to completely revamp the Rupee system, and we hope to implement this new system soon!

For this new system, we will essentially be adding a bit more complexity to what rupees are, how they are earned, and what you can spend your rupees on. It is a lot of information, so let us begin with:

Rupee Colors

At the time of writing, we only have one kind of Rupee that s can receive. However, with this new system, we will introduce four different tiers: green, blue, red, and gold. These different colors will be rewarded for our various different challenges, and we will provide a more detailed breakdown closer to when we plan to implement this new system.

The Rupee Shop

We will also revamp the Rupee Shop to match the changes in our rupee system, which will include the ability to exchange rupees for different colors! Each color will also have their own pool of prizes to exchange for, which we will also provide more details about when we are closer to implementing these changes.

Alongside our new rupee system, we will also be introducing a community-wide adopt gacha! You can use your rupees to spin for a design within the gacha and are given two rerolls – so three rolls total – before being asked to choose a design. This gacha will entirely consist of designs artists have voluntarily submitted, which can include any previous designs that may not have sold! We will once again provide more information closer to when we plan to implement this, so please keep an eye out!

Our final announcement is that we will be revising our community guidelines to include more detail about what we do and do not allow within this community. It will take us some time and there will be substantial changes, so please be patient for when the new guidelines are released. Once we have revised our guidelines, we ask that everyone take the time to carefully read over them so there is no confusion as to what we do and do not allow.

We hope that these changes will help bring new life into our community and encourage to interact with the community in different ways, but we also acknowledge that these are big changes that may elicit some strong opinions. As such, we ask that you are patient with us and willing to provide any constructive you might have, but we also ask that you are open and willing to participate in these changes. Please that as staff, our first priority is to the community and any changes we make are because we believe these will help our community, but we are not infallible.
