Marinette is forced to complete a group project with Chloe and mean girl Lila, how will that turn out?

Just like Alya said, the next day they met up at the library and quickly typed it up on the computer. As she scrunched up the original letter made a mental note to bin it at home so no one would find it. Printing it off she quickly hid it between her homeworks to ensure no one would find it (even though no one would go through her bag in the first place without her permission).

They gave each other a quick high five as they rushed off to their lessons. As Marinette entered the maths classroom she noticed right away that Adrien was missing. He must have stayed off today, she made another mental note to text him later. It's not like she was going to give him the letter today anyway; she wanted to wait a few more weeks incase it seemed too early for her to be taken seriously.

As Mrs Perry clapped her hands the class went silent as she clicked through a powerpoint.

"Now I know this is maths but the principal insisted we give out this assignment first lesson so you have as long as possible for it." A few cheers echoed around the class as the teacher continued to speak. "Apparently you all have to write a short story in a group of 3 and before you ask the groups have been picked." Moans spread throughout the room as a few students slumped their heads on the desks.

After explaining the rules and such, Mrs Perry started reading out the groups.

"...and finally we have Marinette, Chloe and Lila. You have until the end of the week to write your short story. May the best team win."

Marinette turned to Chloe with a smile. "At least I have you. It might not be so bad."

"But we have Lila. God this is going to be awful." Chloe rolled her eyes and gestured to the brunette sat a few rows behind. She looked like your cliché mean girl. Ok maybe this wouldn't be so fun.

"Ok since the majority of the lesson was spent doing that just get in your groups and start brainstorming ideas."

The class all stood up to frantically moved to sit in their trios. Chloe glared at Lila as she strutted down to the front.

"Hey girls, any of you good writers?" Lila grabbed her lipstick and reapplied another layer before looking at the duo.

"Um, I guess I'm ok." Marinette shrugged.

"Great! I'll give you the idea and you can write it. Sound fair?" Lila put her makeup back in her bag and put her hands on her hips.

"Well I-"

"Fab! So basically my idea is a tragic love story where a prince dies trying to save his loved one."

"Isn't that a bit cliché?" Chloe picked her fingernails and glared at the brunette.

"Whatever. I've participated, you can do whatever with the story. I don't care." As the bell rang Lila walked away from the duo.

"So, we're down a member. How about I come to yours tonight and we'll brainstorm?"

"Yeah sure, that sounds fine with me."

"Ok you get the bus right? I should have enough money to go straight from school. I'll meet you at the gate at the end of last lesson."

"Oh ok." Marinette was about to add to their conversation but Chloe walked out the room. "Well then." She put her bag on her back and headed to art.

Like Chloe had said, she was waiting by the gates when the final bell rang.

"Took you long enough, ok let's go." Chloe out her phone in her pocket and walked to the bus stop. Marinette glanced to her Alya who simply shrugged.

"Guess I'll see you tomorrow?" Alya gave a small wave before linking arms with Nino. Marinette ran to catch up with Chloe as the bus came and picked them up.

"So I've had a few ideas but it depends on the genre. What type of story do you think we should write? I prefer romance but if you can't write that then we'll find a compromise." Marinette nodded slowly to what Chloe was saying.

"Yeah romance sounds fine. I'm not that picky as long as I have a plot I should be able to write something."

"That's amazing! You must be a talented writer." Not once did Chloe lift her head as she write something down on her phone.

"I wouldn't say talented but-" Chloe put a finger out to stop her mid sentence.

"Save it for when we get to yours. We'll brainstorm there."

"Ok but I was actually-" Marinette didn't bother finishing the sentence as she knew Chloe wasn't listening. She simply sighed and put one of her ear buds in and leant her head against the window.

Once getting off they immediately went to her room as Marinette threw her bag down.

"Where's your spare paper?" Chloe moved piles of fabrics as she hunted for some.

"Oh there should be some in my bag I'll get-" As she reached for her bag she saw Chloe already rumagging through it. "-it." Marinette bit her lip in annoyance. Granted she wasn't perfect either but she felt it was a bit rude to look through someone stuff without permission.

"What's this?" Chloe held up a piece of paper and read it to herself. "Who's this for?" Marinette bent down to see what she was looking at. It was probably just doodles that she did in class. Wait. Holy sh-

"Oh that, it's erm nothing." Marinette snatched the paper from her hands, scrunched it up and threw it in the bin."

"It wasn't nothing, and did I see Adrien's name on it?" Chloe went to walk to the bin but Mari held her back.

"You saw nothing! Listen can we just do the story, please." Marinette grabbed a piece of paper and lay it on the table.

"Fine, have it your way." As they started drawing a mind map and bouncing off ideas Chloe every so often turned her glance to the bin; where the love letter was crumpled up. Suddenly she smirked before focusing back on the task at hand...
