last november... its now june :sob:

life got super busy and i didn't

have the chance to ever finish it

so it's literally taken 7 months

jddjdd. if you notice a sudden

change in the way i write in this

blog, that'd be why. but anyway,

this is just a long ramble about

mblaq things, a very very messy

discussion. sorry in advance!

❏ talking about who they are;

if you were wondering who mblaq are and why im talking about them then oh b o i let me tell you. mblaq are one of my ult groups & they're one from the second gen. they're a group consisting of 5 ; g.o, mir, seungho, joon & thunder (however joon and thunder left in 2014) & the group are on hiatus after their company shut down in 2017 I believe? they had one comeback after the two left and have never had one since. this group only ever released bops and their title tracks (as well as side tracks) are some of the best I've heard. they have that second generation sound that you would expect, and their concepts were always on point.

they have all the kind of that you could possibly want too. they've got the rapper and 4D member (mir), the shy member with a beautiful voice (thunder), the actor and dancer (joon), the leader who can do everything (seungho) and that member with amazing vocals (g.o). they had what every group should have and they were quite successful, that was until their company messed it all up for them and now they seem slightly "forgotten" which is sad :(

I would talk more about who they are as a group, however ive done that before in other blogs and this is just an mblaq talk so I'll move on

❏ why they deserved better

so ive mentioned that they got messed over by their company and guys,,,, it's true. their company sucked. and they deserved so much better. I don't know if you have heard much about what they did and why the company sucks so much but I'll tell you a couple of things that I .

one of the most popular stories is about mblaq's trophies. fans saw that their trophies were up for sale on the flea market and it turned out that their company was getting rid of all their trophies by selling them. like how disgusting is that? they train for years, practice for hours, put in so much hardwork to improve and put on their best performances to achieve those trophies and their company just sells them?? jdjdksks im angry. it was their first trophy too. that's special. another thing they did was cancel their concert that almost 10,000  A+'s were going to attend, the day before it was scheduled, without an apology or explanation. I believe it was the companys doing because g.o said that he was angry and embarrassed and had no idea why it happened. after years of debut, they don't have any official merch, lightstick, colour or anything like that however we should be grateful that they have a fandom name i guess, which the boys chose themselves as they all have the same blood type (A+). their manager called us fans "stupid fangirls" and stuff like that. they also didn't allow the group to have a comeback so they weren't earning any money however they also didn't let them get a part time job to earn anything due to still being in contract with jtune. they actually didn't allow them to have another album and a fanmeeting as they promised, and they removed mblaq from their profile without telling the or the fans. and just to add more to the list, they never gave an official statement about whether mblaq was disbanded or on hiatus. its still not completely certain.

and how did I know about this stuff? a lot of it is just what us A+'s already know, however a lot of it was said by g.o himself. after the company became bankrupt and fell apart, g.o made a YouTube channel and spoke up about how bad his company is and their wrongdoings. he actually speaks about a lot of things that most idols would never speak about, he really does spill the tea :frog: :coffee: but yeah, anyway, mblaq went through a lot with that company and it resulted in their popularity going downhill. they deserved so much better.

❏ my respect for g.o

speaking of g.o, if you know me then you'll know that I love speaking about how amazing he is and how much respect i have for him. all of the have endured a lot throughout the years and I have a lot of respect for all of them and for a various of reasons. but g.o is the idol that I have the most respect for ever tbh.

like I said, he spills a lot of tea. and yeah tbh thats one thing I respect him for. he does speak about things that most idols would never speak about and that ranges from a whole variety of different topics; about his company's wrongdoings, about his feelings when thunder and joon left, about chart manipulation, about idols dating and getting condoms lmfao ddjdj. he's one of the realist and most honest idols ive come across and doesnt put up with any sh*t and stands up for himself when he has to. and hes brought a lot of things to light, when mblaq fans were left in the dark - he kept us up to date and told us what was happening.

not only is he honest about the company, hes very honest about his own situation and how he was feeling and what he went through as a result of the whole mblaq ordeal. when mblaq was finally free from the company, g.o began making videos on youtube. in one of his videos he explained that the mblaq situation caused him to become depressed and he started drinking a lot. he pushed everybody away - friends and family and was in a really difficult place at the time. the reason i respect him so much is because he got through all of that, regardless of hard difficult it was. he didnt want to be an idol anymore and decided to do youtube videos instead, and he got a lot of hate for that. but you know what? he didnt care. he enjoyed it and he kept doing what gave him happiness and hes now in a much better place. he still makes youtube videos regularly, and hes with a girlfriend that he loves. i respect him because he got through all of those hard times, stuck with what gave him happiness and built a whole new path for himself even though he went through hell and back. he's strong and hes super hardworking - hes the definition of a role model and is definitely someone i look up to.

❏ what i love about each member

i love every member of mblaq and all for different reasons! there are some things that just stand out with each member and it makes me love them a whole lot so;;

seungho;

i love seungho's leadership. going through what they have, it mustve been difficult for them all yet seungho did an amazing job of leading mblaq through it all. he was there for mblaq whenever the needed him, stuck by their sides through everything whilst also fighting through it himself. and he was an amazing leader throughout their whole time! seungho knows when to he serious yet he also jokes around with his too. hes a friend that we all wish we could have :triumph: seungho has fun and acts childish just like the rest of them yet he maintains professionalism when its needed; keeping everything in check and having fun simultaneously. seungho is one of my favourite leaders and the fact that he was able to stay strong through everything is amazing!!!

mir;

hes my bias for a reason! mir is a big ball of sunshine and i love him because he can brighten anybody's day no matter what. hes the mood lifter in mblaq; hes dumb and dorky and super loud yet so amazing. hes always cheerful and is always able to make the laugh. mir's outgoing personality is super contagious and makes me feel really warm and happy- seeing him smile makes not only his smile but also makes me smile!! i love mir because when im having a day where im not feeling too great or when im a little sad, i can just watch mir and it cheers me up immediately! and not to mention his rapping is amazing too :pray:

g.o;

i love him for everything ive said before. he got his own section in this blog because i just have that much respect for him (and hes not even my bias lmfao)- hes an honest man who speaks up about issues when other people may be afraid to do so, hes open and honest about his own issues and he doesnt care what others think. g.o is amazing and works hard to pursue whatever he wants and i ire that. but also hes an amazing vocalist! his vocals are incredible and i recommend listening to him singing, whether that be through his solo music or group music.

thunder;

little cutie thunder!! i love thunder for how hardworking he is. obviously he worked hard in mblaq like all of the boys did, but even when he departed from the group he kept working hard and is STILL working hard. thunder has a ion for music and it really does show. hes been doing solo music since his departure and has even created his own label called "lighthouse". hes given us a lot of solo songs since 2014 and although he doesnt get the recognition he deserves, he keeps blessing us with his music and with his voice - he keeps going, keeps working hard and will n o t give up. he has so much dedication and love for what he does, its adorable. :sob:

joon;

joon is one of my favourite dancers in the industry! he is amazinggggg at dancing, super smooth dance moves and definitely one of the best imho. but also, thats not the only reason i love him. i lowkey fell in love with joon during hello baby, he showed how kind and caring he is n he really has a big heart. when the group & the children were at a swimming pool, they were all having fun apart from one of the children. she was really shy and was afraid to go in the water so she watched alone from outside the pool and nobody really noticed because they were having so much fun. joon realised and he stayed with her the entire time. he tried making her laugh, and just wanted her to have a good time too. he later explained it was because he understood how she felt, he used to be shy as a kid too so he dudnt want her to feel alone. it was so cute omg djsjsj

❏ when I first stanned them

mblaq were actually one of the first groups i stanned. not the first though,,, i stanned bts & bigbang first then as i got into kpop more shortly after, i stanned mblaq. i didnt actually start ulting them until last year though :flushed: the thing that got me into them was actually hello baby! i absolutely loved this show. mblaq's and shinee's season were my favourites. if you dont know what hello baby is, its a show where idol groups look after babies for a short period of time and basically act as their parents. mblaq's season was amazing and was perfect for getting to know the better - i was able to see their caring and serious side where they acted as responsible adults yet i was also able to see them being immature and being the babies of the show. from this show i gathered that mir and joon are immature as hell and are chaotic together, g.o and seungho would make amazing parents and thunder is a shy baby that needs to he protected. i feel in love with them thanks to this show and of course thanks to their music. mblaq was actually the first group i stanned that lost and it sucked. i hadnt experienced my favourite group disbanding or losing before and then the whole mblaq thing happened and damn that sucked :^( although i stanned suju shortly after too so djdjsns. but yes, stanning mblaq was a journey. i fell hard for them then they lost shortly after and it sucked yet i regret nothing. i love the boys so much and will them always!!

now talking about my mblaq favourites because why not. if youve made it up to this point (good job) feel free to tell me yours too!!

favourite mv; this is war

this song is so dramatic, i love it. its like watching a movie yet its only a few minutes long? it has a good storyline to it, its filled with emotion and the song is just as great. the vocals in this song were really strong, probably my favourite part about it tbh, and joon's acting was really great in the mv!

favourite stage; run

i made a whole appreciation post on this stage before oops, i love it so much. ofc the song is catchy and great, but omg have you seen the choreography? its insane! it has the naruto run, it has ninja moves, it has intense facial expressions, it has it all! they pull a michelangelo half way through with nunchucks and flips and the choreo is really intense. this stage makes me feel like a bad ass bitch, i love it.

favourite member; mir

my bias!! hes filled with happiness and is super cheerful, hes the positivity we all need in our life. i love the sound of his rapping too, he can rap in a soft song and it still sounds lovely and calming (eg in mirror) and he can rap in intense songs like run and wowowow. his voice just fits any song and i love him so much.

favourite album; broken

this song is musically so great. has some of my favoruite songs by them including be a man, key, two of us etc. but i also wanted to say that this is their best physical album too. i dont wanna be that person but the packagings of their physical albums suck djsjsksms. theyre either a little small/ plain (eg sexy beat, 100%ver) or really inconvenient to get into (eg mona lisa) but broken is perfect!! the design is super unique and its a box type album i love love love it

i dont really know what else to include in this section oops. but i will say that mir's blonde hair is still my favourite.

❏ about mirror

this section is going to be depressing but i really wanna rant about this since i gotta get it out of my system :( its mainly their comeback stage that i wanna rant about but first of all a little back story:

thunder and joon left mblaq in 2014. mirror was their first comeback as 3 (in 2015) and it was also the last comeback they had. g.o said this is the time where he was struggling yet managed to pull himself together for another comeback and hh it makes me so sad because in their comeback stage they all look tired and sad.

the song itself is really really beautiful, the lyrics are a work of a r t and its an emotional song so of course its expected that their performances too will also be emotional but wow man it was a lot :( first of all, g.o was kind of sick at the time and had problems with his vocals yet he still performed the song flawlessly. mir's eyes just look so... sad? i know the song is already sad and is supposed tk be emotional but hhh mir looks so tired it makes me sad. its weird seeing him so serious and so intense, especially as hes the member thats usually so cheerful and upbeat. seungho is amazing and i know it must've been a difficult time for him (and for them all) as a leader too. i feel like this video just hurts a lot more because im aware they were struggling at the time dkdjdsj. i dont think the former and current were on the best at the time so they were probably dealing with that too. but regardless of all of that, the comeback was amazing. they successfully conveyed all of the emotion they wanted to, their vocals were amazing and mir's rap fitted so well with the song. all of the other tracks on the album were great too and they did really well as a trio. the music video is really well thought out too! if you notice at the end- the 3 walk through 3 open doors and there are 2 closed doors there too. its said that the 2 other doors are supposed to represent thunder and joon because those 2 cant be replaced. mirror was painful yet so beautiful tbh.

i didn't know what section to put this in but i just wanted to remind you of mir's hilariously adorable english because it makes me smile every time i think about it

❏ where are they now?

some people think theyve disbanded but they actually havent!! they took a hiatus after they left the company yet never officially disbanded. they still celebrate mblaq's anniversary, still tag A+ on insta, still have mblaq in their name/ bio and still meet up. seungho is discharged feom the military soon so i guess we'll see what happens then!

former and current also solved their misunderstandings recently! theyre all friends now- they follow each other on social medias again and mir & thunder even went on a variety show together :,) after years, this is really great news.

now regarding what the are up to;

seungho -

hes still serving but he'll be discharged very soon. he also signed to a new label as an actor but said he wants to promote and do music alongside this too.

g.o -

the most active member at the moment! he s to instagram regularly as well as doing regular YouTube videos with his girlfriend. he makes covers on youtube now too. he released a solo song called after spring and it was a really sweet ballad

mir -

he wasnt the most active due to the military but he came back and followed in g.o's footsteps, he now makes videos on YouTube too! he started this recently.

thunder -

he started up his own label called lighthouse and hes released a lot of solo music. my favourites so far are nothing and smile! hes a very active solo artist at the moment

joon-

he's now focusing in his acting and has been in many polular tv shows including my father is strange, vampire detective, luck-key. unfortunately some stuff happened last year- there were false reports of him having attempted suicide during his military service but he has actually been suffering from panic disorder and was removed. hes been quiet since it all happened :(

❏ in conclusion

please do love and them! they kind of lost their popularity since it all happened - they had a lot of potential and were doing really well until their company f*cked them over :(( i feel like im forever going to be made at j.tune camp but hey mblaq are out of there now, theyre happier and still doing what they love. but please dont let their hiatus put you off of stanning! if you enjoy their music and their personalities then go for it. theyre still active, maybe not as a group at the moment, but theres plenty of their individual activities that you can keep up to date with. and with them all being friends again and seungho soon to be discharged, who knows what the future will hold? the boys deserve everything and i wish them the happiest future ever.

im sorry this was a mess, i was going to write them a letter too but its 2:30am and im so tired. i hope this was enough and i hope you enjoyed the ramble :^(
