The final Chapter of this fanfic! Marinette had been found out about, what's going to happen to her? Sorry if this is again a bit rushed, I really didn't want this fanfic to be as long which is why the pace of how things move forward may be a bit weird so apologies for that.

*Adrien’s POV*

What. Just. Happened? Marinette was one of us. Oh my god. How did I not notice? Maybe I should’ve told her, we could’ve worked out a plan. I could have protected her. As she walked up she seemed so calm, I never would’ve guessed. I did see her say something to the boy, his eyes were slightly tearing up.

That must’ve been why she squeezed my hand and said she was sorry. She knew what would happen. She knew she’d be found out about. Everything started to make sense now. That’s why she was shaking when Alya told them the news, why she was crying when she mentioned the school searches. If only I could help her somehow. Maybe if I handed myself in I could see her again.

Wait. She said her power was to create stuff. I don’t believe this! She was that girl that gave me the truck all those years ago. That’s it. I had to save her now…

*Mari’s POV*

I was forced into a police van with the boy and we were taken to the station. For the whole journey the boy kept on looking at me. We couldn’t speak as the officers would hear us. Upon arriving we were shoved out and into the building.

We were lead down a narrow corridor and into a dark room. The door was swiftly closed behind us as the footsteps became quieter. I looked around and saw a bunch of children; most were my age but some were younger. As they saw me the ran up and all hugged me.

“Are you ok honey? They didn’t hurt you too much?” One with blonde hair asked me She had piercing bluebell eyes and a matching blue dress. Her hair hand in long bunches down the back of her. They were quite messy, probably because she’d been here a long time.

“I’m fine, just a bit bruised.” I brushed down my tros and glanced at the small cell. Why did they put us all together? Surely that was a bad idea?

“That’s good. I’m Aurore. I have the power to read minds.”

“That’s handy. I’m Marinette. I can create things.”

“No way! That’s awesome!” A smaller girl approached us. Her brown hair was pinned back into two tight bunches that lay on either side of her face.

“So Marinette, do you know anyone else with powers?”

“Not that I’m aware of no.”

“Ok well welcome to hell, make yourself at home.” Aurore gestured to the small room with one single light in the middle of the room. No beds. No food. Nothing. “In here we have to stick together. It’s the only way to survive.” I nodded as Aurore introduced me to everyone.

I’d been in here for a few hours, I think- it’s hard to keep track of time. There was only one thing on my mind. Adrien. I knew everyone else would be against me. Probably even my parents as they never go against the law. I had hope in Adrien though. We were so close there was no way he would hate me. No way. Aurore noticed I was sitting alone so came to comfort me.

“What you thinking about honey?” She sat next to me and put her arm around me.

“I’m just thinking about my friends. My family. They probably all hate me now.”

“Most likely, just don’t think about it anymore. You have us.”

“I just. I couldn’t bear it if Adrien hated me.”

“Is he your boyfriend?” She playfully nudged me, causing me to smile.

“Well we didn’t really official announce it but basically yes, I like him a lot.”

“I’m sorry, are you sure he isn’t one of us?”

“Pretty sure, I haven’t seen him use powers and during the school checks he seemed really calm.”

She wrapped me in a hug which was actually really soothing. At least I had her and the guys here for .

*Adrien’s POV*

“I can’t believe Marinette was one of them!” We were in English but no one was doing their work due to what had just happened. “When you thought you knew your best friend but then she goes and does this!”

“Alya she can’t help it, it’s not her fault she had powers.” Why was Alya being so toxic towards Marinette? It seemed like she doesn’t like her anymore.

“Whatever, at least I still have you two.” Alya was one of the only people doing her work. I started getting really annoyed at her.

“Alya, you’re best friend is suffering and you don’t care?”

“Why should I care Adrien? Her kind have caused problems for the police. They’re doing the right thing.”

“Are they though?” I had to be careful. If I got anymore angry I knew my cataclysm would set itself off.

“Just shut up Agreste.” She turned back around and ignored us for the rest of the lesson.

At the end of the day I raced back home. Was I the only person who still liked her? I thought about where she would be now? Probably still at the station. Before I reached my house I had an idea. I got out my phone and called for a cab.

“Hello, can I have a cab to the police station please?” As I ended the call I sat on the curb and waited for it to arrive.

As I arrived at the station I payed the cab driver and entered the building. I walked to the counter and was greeted by one of the officers that came to our school.

“Hey kid, why are you here?”

“I’m handing myself in.” I crossed my arms and stared at him.

“What do you mean? Just go home.” He turned his back on me but I simply picked up a container sitting on the counter.

“Cataclysm.” I grinned as it disintegrated in my hand. As the dust fell onto the table the guy turned around and realised what I’d done.

“You did the right thing kid, but don’t think I’m going easy on you.” He walked towards me and grabbed my upper arm. “Let’s get you to the cell.”

*Mari’s POV*

I was sat telling stories to the little kids to comfort them when the cell opened. The smallest girl Manon ran to my lap as I held her tightly. I ran my fingers through her hair as the officer entered. Everyone else but me and her stood up.

“Good news guys! Tomorrow you’ll be out of here, thank god. I’ll be back in the morning. In the meantime you have a new guy. Get in here kid.”Someone was pushed into the room as the door was locked behind them.

Everyone but me and Manon approached the new person. We stayed in the corner as I carried on with the story. I was about to finish it but I heard a familiar voice.

“Marinette? You here?” I lifted Manon off my lap as I stood up.

“How do you know her name.” I could hear Aurore approaching the new lad.

“She knows me.”

“Mari, get over here.” Aurore turned to me. I could feel Manon grabbing my leg so I picked her up and walked over to the new lad with her.

“What is it Aurore?” I pushed past the others to reach the new kid. “Oh my god!” I put Manon down and ran up to him. I wrapped him in a massive hug; it felt so good to be with him again. “I’ve missed you Adrien.”

“So this is the Adrien you told me about.” Aurore turned back to me. “I thought you said he didn’t have any powers?”

“Yeah…” I let go of him as Manon grabbed my leg again. I smiled at her as she grinned back at me. I glanced back at Adrien. “So you do have powers then?” He scratched the back of his neck and laughed slightly.

“I do. I can destroy things. I kinda hate it, it was awful as a child when I couldn’t control it.”

“Well there’s nothing to destroy here so I think we’re safe.” Aurore laughed as she ed the rest of the gang. “Well, welcome Adrien.”

Once the rest of the group went their separate ways I punched Adrien lightly in the arm.

“What the hell are you doing here? Who turned you in?”

“I actually turned myself in.” I stared at him in shock. Why on earth did he do that?

“You idiot! You could’ve been getting on with your life! After they found me they weren’t going to search the rest of the school! Oh god why are you like this?” I could see others listening in on our conversation. I didn’t care at this point. Aurore then approached us.

“Did you just say you purposely turned yourself in? Marinette you’re dating an moron.”

“Just tell me Adrien, why did you do it? How could you do that to your parents, to Alya and Nino!”

“You do realise Alya hates you!” I knew it. Although I thought that since she was my bestie she would stand up for me. I guess I didn’t know her at all.

“I kinda guessed that.” I crossed my arms but I could sense tears forming. I wiped them away quickly. “But that doesn’t explain why you handed yourself in Adrien.” Aurore put her arm around me, she could tell I was getting upset.

“I missed you Mari. Plus with Alya basically hating you I couldn’t stand it. My parents probably would’ve handed me in anyway, they’ve always wanted a reason to escape my powers. I did it for them, saved them the guilt.” Adrien put his head down but I tilted it back up.

“I missed you too Agreste. But you shouldn’t have done that.”

“Marinette! Can we finish the story?” Manon raced over to me as Aurore scooped her up.

“Not right now pumpkin, time for you to get some rest for tomorrow.” Aurore carried her to the other small kids and placed her carefully on the floor. She kissed her forehead as she left her to sleep.

“Right, now the little ones are asleep we need a plan for tomorrow. Any ideas.” We all sat down near the candle to discuss what we could do. No one had any ideas.

“This is hopeless, it’s us against the world.” A girl with red hair threw her arms in the air.

“Not the world Ondine, just Paris.”

“Maybe if we can get out of Paris we could be safe?” Jean suggested.

“Yeah but we’re stuck in here so how do we get out?” Suddenly we all turned to look at Adrien. He glanced at the walls.

“I guess I could destroy them, but I don’t know how much it would destroy.” He shrugged as the others started whispering. I huddled close to him to comfort him. It was clear he’d now be the centre of their plan.

“Wake up the kids. If this is going to work we need to do this now!” Mireille nodded and started to wake them up. “Marinette, what’s the biggest thing you’ve ever created?”

“Umm, I don’t usually create things bigger than my palm.”

“Ever tried creating a car? We’ll need it for the kids as they’re our priority to get out first.”

“I mean, I could try.”

“And that’s all we ask.” Aurore squeezed my hand as the others moved to the walls. “Just try, if not we’ll just have to carry the kids.”

I nodded and moved the candle out the way. I bent down and closed my eyes. I pictured a 7 seater car in my mind and whispered the words ‘Lucky Charm.’ A pink glow surrounded the room. I could feel my head going light but I carried on nonetheless, desperate not to let them down. As the glow calmed down I could feel my legs wobbling as I collapsed on the floor. Adrien rushed over to me.

“Hey you ok?”

“Yeah, I’m fine.” I looked in front of me and saw a black car taking up the majority of the room. “I did it!”

“You did.” He gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and helped me back to my feet.

“Nice job Mari! They made a huge mistake putting a group of kids with extraordinary powers into one room!” Aurore opened the doors and loaded the kids into it. “Ignore the seatbelts, you’ve all got to fit in.” Manon was the last kid to get in. She gave me a quick hug before clambering in. Aurore closed the door as Ondine got in the front.

“I’ll drive, there’s one more seat who’s coming in with me?” She tapped the wheel waiting for a response.

“Mireille, you go honey. You’ve done a lot for us over the past few weeks.” Mireille nodded and wrapped Aurore into a small hug.

“I’ll see you around Aurore.”

“Back at you.” Aurore closed the door behind her as she tuned to Adrien.

“Once you destroy the wall Ondine will drive the kids to Spain. She has people there she knows that will keep the kids safe. As for us, we leg it. All split up in 3s or less. If we stick together as a whole we’ll be easier to catch.” We all nodded simultaneously as Adrien approached the wall.

“Good luck everyone.” We all exchanged small hugs as Adrien lay his hands on the wall.

“Cataclysm!” Upon saying the words the wall started crumbling. He quickly took his hands off before it spread too far.

Ondine revved the engine as the car zoomed out of the cell. After we were sure she was free we all scurried out and went our separate ways. Aurore decided to stay with me and Adrien.

“You ready guys?” Adrien grabbed my hand in his and squeezed it tightly.

“Ready as we can be.” And with that we disappeared into the shadows on the run of a lifetime…
