I thought I’d give you guys a little update on my life! I haven’t been posting much lately, because I’m a lazy grl and my phone has like zero storage for footage 🥵

Sparky is getting a bit of a rest from all the exercise she got this year so that I can focus on gift’s fitness. Gift is very fat right now, so I’m trying really hard to get her down to a decent weight and toughen her up a bit this summer.

I’ve been walking up a really big hill with Gift every time I ride her and also take her quite far on weekends.

As for Sparky, I have been doing lots of groundwork with her. My main focus for Sparky this holiday is first to get her moving laterally and with ease. I have been practicing side ing in the saddle and on the ground. When Sparky is balanced and comfortable moving in the arena, I’ll begin taking her out on track.

Milly and I recently went to a lesson, and I rode her. After that lesson I learned a whole lot about how to get Milly moving confidently and consistently off my aids. I am putting Milly last in of priorities, because Gift has very much potential for endurance next year and so does Sparky. Milly is only 5 so she has plenty of time to learn whereas sparky and gift aren’t so young.

I’m super excited for the next few months with Gift, Sparky and Milly. I reckon Gift will still be a fatty by the next endurance ride even with all the work I’ll be doing with her :eyes:
