Hello KDA!

At first I was going to write a recast on a movie I finally got around to watching but I was having a hard time deciding who should play the roles so I'm not going to post it yet. I'm going to work on it more. So instead I decided to write a review on a movie that I watched seven years ago but it's one I really well. There are two adaptations, a drama and a film. I already wrote a review of the drama so I thought I would write a review on the movie. The movie I'm going to review today is 'Koizora: Sky of Love.' This blog is brought to you by #MInsider.

W A R N I N G : This review contains

spoilers. Please do not read any

further if you haven't watched this

movie. And if you do watch this

movie, prepare to have tissues. It will

make you cry a lot.

Mika Tahara is in high school. She is

sixteen years old. She is a happy and

cheerful person. Like any teenager, she

yearns to fall in love. During the

summer break she leaves her phone in

the library and when she goes back to

get it, it's already taken. Someone

begins calling her using her cell phone

and she becomes relaxed hearing the

voice. Over the course of the break,

they continue to talk more. In one

conversation the person on the other

line wants to meet to meet her. They

become a couple and fall in love. They

become stronger because of it.

However, it all changes when Hiro

I really liked her character. Her character was really sweet and had a very nice smile. I really liked how Mika took pictures of the sky. Later on in the movie you see why she loves the sky so much. There wasn't much I disliked about her other than the fact I wish she would've defended herself against those three guys but it's hard to do so when there are three guys trying to rape you so it was understandable. She went through so many sad situations that she didn't deserve. It was horrible what she experienced. I felt so bad for her. First she was raped, then she got pregnant and then lost the baby, and then Hiro es away from cancer. That is so sad. No one should have to go through that much pain at that age. She was barely an adult.

Throughout the movie, I was wondering how much more pain can this girl take? I won't be able to take it. After Hiro ed away, she couldn't be in a world where he's not with her anymore and was crying and attempted to kill herself by jumping over a bridge but she was stopped when two doves appeared. I really liked this scene out of the whole movie because of the significance. It showed that Hiro is always with her and like he said he would be the sky to watch over her. When the doves came it was Hiro telling her not to kill herself, that she'll be okay. But through it all, she remained strong. She got a happy ending and I think got pregnant and had a little girl. In the drama, she had a cute little daughter that looked like Hiro. She always ed Hiro and saw him as the sky, and because of that, he'll always be with her.

Hiro Sakurai is also a high school

student. He is sixteen years old and a

deliquent. He can be violent and

dangerous at times but he can also be

kind and loving. He first meets Mika

during summer break but she doesn't

like his delinquent behavior. They meet

again when Mika loses her phone and

he finds it and begins calling her. In

one of their conversations, he asks

Mika if they could meet and she

agrees. When they meet in person,

Mika is shocked to learn that it's the

boy she saw at school, Hiro. They

become a couple and they fall in love.

Throughout their relationship, they

face many tribulations and eventually

breaks up with Mika without telling her

the reason.

_____

This is another character I liked of course. I felt the same way about him as Mika. There wasn't anything that I didn't like about him. At least nothing I can think of. I a lot of the movie but not everything. I, too, felt bad for him. He didn't deserve it. Even if he was a bad kid, he didn't deserve it. It's the saddest thing to be young and be told that you are sick. I've noticed that in Japan they have many dramas and movies about young kids who are diagnosed with cancer. It's so sad but at the same time it's realistic, because we do live in a world where so many young people have cancer and it's just very sad to think about.

I wish he would've told Mika that he was sick and was dying but I know why he didn't say anything to her. He really loved her and didn't want her to see him like that and also thought that he couldn't make her happy because of her condition. But he doesn't know how she would've reacted it when she told him. She eventually finds out why Hiro broke up with her and later on when she finds someone else and breaks up with him, she goes to Hiro and stayed by his side always till his last days.

One of the saddest parts in this story is when Hiro gave her photos to develop and when she went to develop them, something very sad happened. He ed away. There were many sad scenes but I think this one is the saddest because she wasn't there and she couldn't say good-bye because she got there, he was already gone. It was too sad.

The Acting

The acting in this movie was really good. The actors portrayed their characters well. Especially Haruma Miura. I portrayed the role of Hiro really well. Even though this story is very sad, I didn't cry that much in this movie. I cried a lot more when I watched the drama but that doesn't mean the acting wasn't good. I just didn't cry that much. I don't know why.

The True Story

For those of you who don't know, both the movie and the drama are based on a true story. A young woman named Mika experienced all this and wrote a book about what happened to her and everything you see in both the drama and the book is true and it's what happened to her in real life.

There's also a manga which i read after I watched the drama and it's just as sad. I also cried too while reading. That doesn't happen to me much. I've only cried in one boon I read which was 'The Fault in Our Stars.'

Why You Should Watch It

Even though this movie is really sad, it's still a movie worth watching. You see a heartwarming romance between two young adults. They spend a lot of time together after Mika finds out the truth. She never leaves his side and even though they don't have much time, they spend each day as if it was their last. They were going to get married but sadly it never happened because of what happened to Hiro towards the end.

My Rating

Acting: 10/10

Cinematography: 10/10

Rewatch Value: 9/10

________

I've reached the end of my blog. I

haven't watched this movie in a long

time. I believe I watched the movie

first and then the drama. I was a fan of

Haruma Miura even though I haven't

watched that many if his works. Just

one drama but I'm still a fan of him.

I'm probably going to watch the drama

again soon and I know I'll cry just as

much as the first time I watched it.

Even though I really liked the movie, I

actually like the drama a lot better.

How about you? Have you watched

both? If so, which one is your favorite?

I would love to know. Let me know

down in the comments below. It's time

for me to sign off but I hope you

enjoyed this review and I'll see you in

my next blog. Bye for now!

Thank you for reading!

Oh my apologies. I can't really write a review of I don't include spoilers. I really liked the movie but I like the drama a lot better. It made me more emotional. But the movie was still sad though.
