We are together
only for a moment...
we are one
but not in this moment
the three of us
at one table
the two of us
in one of us
one body
lay slouched
lifeless
but breathing
the other two
lay sat up
eating
staring at the body
"look what I've done"
"you have done nothing wrong"
"look what I've done"
"this was just what was to become"
"I could have prevented it"
"no. that was not your job"
"then what was my job!? huh? tell me! "
"Calm down! we can fix this! "
"what's my job Eli!? "
"to get the body to me! "
the woman froze
"that's right. I'm sorry"
"we can fix this."
the man stood up and grabbed the body.
"we have a few more years. we can do it"
"you're right"
the man hands the body to the woman. She carefully takes over it. Absorbing it. till the two bodies became one.
"we'll be back. when it is right, you may take over"
"do not hurt the body. "
"i- I'll try. till next time, Eli"
the man sits back at the table. waiting. waiting to be born. to take over. to help that lifeless body.

hello! so this may be confusing, but I'm here to explain! I wanted to give everyone a bit of an opening to see how my mind works. not all trans people are the same, but this is sorta what runs through my head.
this woman is the person who owns this body she's been through a lot and is waiting to give it to the man.
(me transitioning)
reminder:: a trans man can still be feminine and a trans woman can still be masculine. it is our body that we are changing not necessarily our personality. though sometimes that does change too.

It's a very very simple image, but a powerful metaphor! I could guess what it was about, and the "don't hurt it" really hut hard
It's a gorgeous, comprehensible piece of writing :two_hearts:
bdidnfk thank you ^^
Very intriguing! I’ve never seen it described in this way, but I’m endlessly fascinated by the metaphor you used here.
Even without your explanation, I could sort of feel what it was about, but I was also weirdly wrapped up in the emotions and the struggle.
Super interesting! Thank you so much for sharing
hdjdbfj thank you ^^
Such an interesting metaphor to use to describe how you feel and see yourself. Thank you for sharing this with us, Eli. <3
aww ty and of course I felt that it would be necessary in some way for people to get a grasp of how some of us feel. of course it's different for everyone, but hey now you can see out of one our views.
