"Marinette, someone's at the door for you!" Sabine yelled from the kitchen.

"Give me a minute, I'm almost ready!" Marinette quickly retouched up her mascara and glanced at herself in the mirror. She didn't want to look like she had tried too hard but she also wanted to look nice. Knock knock. The knocking at the door snapped her out of her thoughts as she rushed down the stairs. She grabbed her bag as she opened the door; revealing a very nervous looking Luka.

"Hey, you look nice Mari."

"You don't look too bad yourself." Marinette grinned as she threw her handbag over her shoulder. "I'll see you later mom!"

"Have fun sweetie. Just be back before 7pm. You know how dark it gets around this time of the year." Sabine blew her daughter a kiss as she closed the door behind her.

They walked for roughly 10 minutes before reaching the nearest cinema. They had agreed that since Luka was buying the tickets it was only fair that Mari bought the snacks. She payed for 2 large popcorns (both sweet), a large slushie for her and a soda for Luka. Even though Marinette insited she give him some money since the snacks were nowhere near the same price as the tickets, he refused each time. In the end she gave up as they entered their screening room.

"Where are we sat?" Marinette followed Luka as he marched up the stairs towards the back.

"Right here " he gestured to the two seats on the end of the back row. It gave them an incredible view of the screen and they had no one in front of them either so they could see even better.

As they took their seats Marinette took a handful of popcorn and stuffed it in her face.

"Are you not at least going to wait until the film starts?" Luka chuckled softly which caused Marinette to blush.

"Sorry, I usually have most if it finished by the end of the trailers to be fair. I eat when I'm bored." Luka leaned towards her and smirked.

"Am I boring you?" He raised an eyebrow as she rested her popcorn bucket on the floor.

"No no not at all! I just mean, I guess I'm just hungry. I haven't anything to eat up until now." She shrugged.

"Mari, it's 1pm. Surely you've had something." He leant back, not taking his eyes off the bluenette.

"Well the fact I was only out of bed at 12, and then I had to get sorted. I guess food just skipped my mind."

"After this why don't we get some food? Seems like you could use it."

"Great idea Luka." The room turned dark as the screen in front of them flashed alive. They both faced the front and waited for the movie to start.

About halfway into the film Marinette felt an arm wrap around her. She glanced to the side to see Luka smiling in her direction. As she smiled back she felt her cheeks light up. Thank god it was dark so he couldn't see her blushing.

Once the movie ended they made their way outside. Marinette rubbed her eyes as she adjusted to the bright lights that now surrounded her. Stepping into the street she checked the time. 3:30pm.

"Plenty of time." Luka peered over her shoulder.

"Where do you want to eat?" She put her phone back in her bag.

"How about a fast food place? Cheap and everyone loves a good burger."

"Sounds great!" They walked for a while until they found their destination. They walked over to the till and ordered their meals.

"I'll have a cheeseburger and fries. What about you Mari?"

"Um just a plain burger, fries and a milkshake please." Luka chuckled and opened his wallet.

"Do you know how much the milkshakes cost? Doesn't matter, it's all on me." He went to the lady the money but Marinette interrupted.

"It's fine, I'll pay. It's unfair for you to buy everything since you bought the movie tickets." She got out her own money but Luka stopped her.

"Honestly Mari I don't mind paying. Save your money. Plus you bought snacks." He quickly ed the woman the money before Marinette could respond. 5 minutes later they received their food as they sat at a nearby table. After eating in silence for a while Marinette pushed Luka 5 euros.

"Please take it, I feel bad letting you pay. Even if you don't want it just take it so I don't feel guilty." Luka reluctantly tucked it in his pocket.

"If you're sure." Luka took a bite of his burger and met Marinette's gaze. Marinette did the same. "You've erm, you've got some sauce on your cheek."

"Oops." Marinette wiped her face with her hands; trying to get it off. Luka chuckled and leant forward. He stroked Marinette's cheek and wiped the ketchup off. Marinette glanced downwards and tried hard to hide her blushing. She never blushed this much around Adrien, what was wrong with her? "T-thanks Luka."

"No problem." He grabbed a napkin and cleaned his fingers. They talked for almost an hour. Mainly about their interests and hobbies, touching on school now and again. Before long they realised it was almost 6pm. "We should get going so you're back in time for curfew." Luka stood up and grabbed the tray of rubbish and deposited it in the bin.

Marinette followed him ad they both stepped out into the night sky. Since it was winter it had started to get pretty dark this time of day. Mari turned on her phone flashlight so they had a light source.

About 15 minutes into the walk Marinette started shivering from the cold breeze that ed them now and again.

"Here, take my jacket. You look like you need it." He slipped it off and wrapped it around her.

"You sure? It's too cold to just be in a short sleeved shirt." Luka nodded as he put his arm around her shoulder.

"Positive."

They walked in silence, Luka humming now and again. Marinette smiled to herself. As they reached Marinette's street she handed him his jacket back.

"I had fun today, we should definitely do it again sometime." Luka tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and grinned.

"Yeah... that's be great." Marinette sucked in a breath as his fingers touched her face. She smiled warmly as she took a few steps away from him. "I'll see you on Monday."

"See you then." As she reached her door she saw Luka still standing there. She gave a small wave as she slipped through the door into the warmth. Next time she would wear something a bit more warmer. If there was a next time...
